Titleist adapters

I have seen a few topics on this but it’s 2025. Where do you guys get your Titleist adapters. I am thinking about the CMX from Billy bobs golf. I have also seen some people say pga tour superstore. I wanted to try one and bought a clearly an aftermarket one for my Titleist 915 3 wood. The shaft adapter didn’t even fit in the hole it was too big. And no I didn’t order a hybrid one and try to put it in a fairway wood. I am very interested in the CMX ones any thoughts.

You might have bought a 910 fairway adapter. They were bigger, and do not fit any other year fairway woods.

I get my adapters from buying cheap shafts online. I don’t think you can buy Titleist adapters that are OEM.

FWIW - although I haven't specifically used the Titleist one, I'm a big fan of the CMX adapters. I've used their Ping, TM, and Callaway's. If I needed to, I wouldn't hesitate to get a Titleist version.

Yes, it was the same as the driver adapter - so if that's what he got, the op still might get some use out of it by moving it to a driver shaft.

Careful with the aftermarket adapters. I have had 2 fail on me (both were FW adapters BTW). I did not inspect the first one, just replaced it. The second one sent my new GT3 FW sailing down the fairway and scuffed up the crown (it was hit out of the middle. shot still ended up pin high about 10yds left). Both adapters failed at the bottom of the shaft. Shaft was not damaged. After inspecting the 2nd failure, you could clearly see that there was a thin side and a thick side to it. It was so thin that it was sharp. The bore was badly off center. Both were bought off of the bay.

Buy from a respectable/established seller!

Were they the CMX aftermarkets - or some of the cheap chinese knock-offs on ebay or amazon?

Yes, there are definitely some bad knock offs out there and one has to be careful. But in my experience CMX are very respectable. But that doesn't mean others may have had different experiences with them. They've come up frequently in the forum and I have yet to see any negative experiences - but that doesn't mean they might not be there.

I did not buy the cmx adapters I got a 913-TSR fairway adapter from amazon it did not fit.
