Not that wild considering they are playing links golf. You'll lose all high apex FW balls in the wind. The BRNR/R7 is versatile enough to be hit from the deck if necessary. Ohterwise that 3 iron will do just fine. 

 

Love that bag - probably because it feels quite familiar:

 

Driver: GT2 (TSR3 still gets some bag time occasionally)

Mini: BRNR

FW/Hybrid: Callaway UW 19 and 21 (latter is shorter shafted)

5-PW: ZXi7 (Modus 105X but I had 120X in my last two sets)

Wedges: 50/54/58 SM9 (S400)

Putter: Jailbird 380 CB (38in) / DF3 (revolving door.....)

Typing this as he’s T1 at The Open wrapping up round 2. He has to have the best free-agent bag out there. Basically every spot in the bag is filled with the best brands. Titleist GT driver, TM mini, Srixon irons, and of course Vokey wedges. Great, powerful swing on this guy!

Yeah.  He used to have 1k pro orange in driver and fairway.  I'm actually surprised he plays Modus 120X as they tend to play/feel soft considering he has an aggressive transition.  You would think he's more of a Modus 120TX or even 130X player.

The 1k pro orange was quite some time ago, no? But I think he comes back softer when hitting iron, but when he hit driver it feels like he s*** the out of it to hit XD

I think he still had the 1k pro orange last year.  I mean he has more of a moderate transition with irons in general, but you're correct in that he really likes to go after it with driver.
