Titleist Tour Practice?

Hi

At my home course thay have Titleist Tour Practice as range balls andd that is really nice.

But I am interested in what ball it compares to in the Titleist line up, I have heard it might be a previous generation of Tour Soft or Tour Speed.

Anyone know more?

If it makes it any easier I cut one and this is how it looks.

I believe it’s more likely the Velocity as it is a 2 piece non urethane cover ball.

This is an interesting, though somewhat let’s say obfuscating ball. We also have a course in the area that uses these. They are clearly a significant step above the typical range ball as far as feel and consistency of flight. Titleist likely makes these at the Thai plant with recycled materials and lower manufacturing and metrology standards.

It’s not listed as a retail model.

There are V1 family balls that have their normal markings with the addition of a PRACTICE marking. The Tour Practice is not a standard model that is blemished or otherwise still a retail product.

See all the colored material in the core? That’s excess material from other production that’s ground up and added to the bulk core material. It has a Surlyn cover. It’s not as thick as a typical range ball.

Good points.

We bought 500 or them to use exclusively when Titleist comes for their club fittings. While they aren’t tour quality balls. As yoi mentioned they are much better rhan the typical.$5.00 a dozen range balls. They give more accurate flight data.

We bought them in yellow so they can easily be sorted from the range picker.
