Roll one. Visually, it’s not my favorite but they feel awesome. Softer than the current Phantom line.

Unfortunately have already owned one with the chain face - not for me at all. Don't like the feel or visuals.

I have the 6.2 GOLO and think it feels amazing. Should be a better comparison than the current Studio Style line with the chain link insert compared to the fully milled face. I could see how some might not like it if you don't like your putter on the softer side of the spectrum.

 

I think this is the nicest phantom release. A black shaft would have been a nice touch.

Rolled a 36" CB Fastback for ~about 15min down at the PGASS. Agree it felt better than my 5.5 Phantom. Seriously considering getting one.

My 6.2 would look awesome with a black shaft.  Not sure why they didn't finish the look on that one.

It is interesting that they are rounding the corners of the 9.2 but keeping the corners sharp on the 5.5

Hoping a little softer than my 9.5 triple

black. Been using the Toulon Alc with this year’s milling and it is excellent. Had been waiting for a 9.2 that was anything but the Holiday release.

Got a 7 on order. I can tolerate a single bend shaft, but far prefer a double bend shaft. The guys from Odyssey are definitely having an influence.

Just seen the price. £300 extra for a black version of the 5.5. I guess Scotty just thinks golfers are idiots.

I mean that’s normal for his limited run stuff the past several releases, it also has additional alignment and got rid of the sight dots. Not saying it’s completely justified, but they didn’t just paint it black and add 300 to the price.

I own a Triple Black putter and at first I thought the same: why not just give us the black shaft?

 

Now, I'm glad there is no black shaft on these. It would defeat the point of a... Triple black concept.
 

I've looked for copy-cat finishes: you just can't replicate PVD. The "gloss" black from Siege Custom was more opaque spray paint than the reflective nature of the TB Scotties. The plan is to look at KBS gloss in person, but 0.390 overhosel owners are out of luck.

 

As for quality issues, they must be on the production side because mine has been gamed for a year solid and is doing very well.

If I am seeing this right, these aren't sold out on website yet... Must not be super limited at all?  I just got my 9.2 and am not blown away so I called to return it, they said it's limited so can't be returned... doesn't say that anywhere on return policy but whatever.  I'm not sure what's the deal with the scotty limited any more, but beyond a my girl or holiday which you can't get really, they don't seem hard to get any more and just over priced retail versions.

That's a bummer that they denied your return.  I luckily canceled my order prior to it shipping after I thought about it more and the novelty wore off.  I thought it was returnable since there is nothing on the page saying it isn't.  I'm sure its buried in some terms somewhere.

Just a few days before the release I was testing a 9.5 and was about to order one. When I saw his thread I decided to get the 9.2r because of the plumbing neck. I placed an order for the 9.2r on the 15th. My order shows In Process. I'm waiting patiently.

I’m sure I could fight it, but they seemed quick to say it wasn’t returnable. It’s nice enough but this feels like just a black phantom and less limited release.  I will say headcover is really nice, same as circle T material.

Had a chance to roll one today. So, unfortunately I was able to roll it head to head against a Toulon Las Vegas First Run and a 2025 Las Vegas, (full disclosure, I've owned a handful of Toulon's and feel they may be the best club/company on the market). I say unfortunately because the 9.2R is a really nice putter, but I would pick either of the Toulon's over the 9.2R. Visually I think the size and shape is perfect, and it's very cool to have a tour inspired head shape with the plumbers neck. The alignment line, the super deep black finish, it looks great.

 

But...

 

The face milling. It's nice, like I stated above. If I didn't have the Toulon's to compare it to I would rate it very high, especially in that it's not an insert face. Both of the Toulon's put a better roll on the ball and the feel was also better. Feel is subjective right? For me the Toulon's were slightly softer, all of them give good feedback on strike location. Also, the grip leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not a fan of the matador Cameron grip. Toulon has a similar grip for their putters, but I also have the option of going with a Lamkin Deep Etched at no up charge.

 

My thoughts...

10/10 Looks

8/10 Feel

2/10 Customizable

5/10 Headcover (wouldn't be surprised if the velcro starts scratching the finish over time, but that's speculation)

 

For what it is, I really like it. If I never rolled a Toulon, this would likely be a purchase that I'd take to a shop to get adjusted to my specs, likely change out the shaft and definitely the grip. Cameron missed the mark on not letting people customize the loft/lie/length. And that's a minimum ask, most of the other brands for clubs in this category are giving options for specs and also grips/shafts. I won't say this feels like a cash grab by Cameron, they are just behind the curve compared to what others are offering.
