Left vs Right handed adapter sleeve

I am left handed and use a Cobra Darkspeed driver. I have struggled with slices/fades for a while so I play a STD DRAW or +1.0 DRAW setting on my adapter.

I just realized today that there are specific left handed adapter sleeves that should be marked with an LH.

So have I been playing a STD FADE or -1.0 FADE this whole time??

With a right handed adapter sleeve what do I need to set the head to in order to have a standard or +1.0 DRAW for a LEFT HANDED golfer? -1.0? With no DRAW designation?

You can check this real quick to visually confirm yourself. Insert the shaft in the extreme of one setting and then rotate to the extreme of the other. A flatter lie will be the fade setting. More upright is for a draw setting.

I believe the loft are reverse (+1 is actually -1) but the draw/fade holds true.

With a draw setting isn’t that just increasing the lie angle so would it decrease it for a lefty?

I had asked Cobra a while back about the MyFly (pre-adapt) adaptors and they said the only thing that is reverse is the lofts. How I picture it is that the LH and RH adaptor is the exact same physical part, just that they print the reverse information on LH vs RH. Standard is the flattest setting it can go, and then whether it is a RH or LH driver spinning the shaft 180 degrees moves the shaft into the most upright (draw) position.

You playing a RH "STD DRAW" is the equivalent to a LH "STD DRAW", while you playing a RH "+1.0 DRAW" is equivalent to a "-1.0 DRAW". Where this adjustment may be messing with your shot is that when you decrease loft it opens the club face so it can exaggerate a slice from that aspect.

No. Lie angle doesn't change when switching between lefty and righty. Think of those cheep, double sided putters you find at mini-golf. If you bend it upright, it's still more upright regardless of whether you use it right or left handed. Unlike loft, lie angle is independent of which side of the club the ball is on.
