Callaway Elyte TD 3w

I am letting you in on a secret, this fairway club is incredible.   First demo’d one in the UK two weeks back with the stock tensei 75x in it and I knew from the first swing it was up my alley

 

Easy to elevate off the deck, monstrously long off the tee, anti-left, great size and shape.  Superb acoustics and did I say long ?

 

i’ve got an ADIZ 5x in mine, and after owning as many as 30 3/4/5 fairways at one time, however, this club is truly mind blowing.   I hit three tee shots yesterday that went 280, and these were balls casually thrown down onto the tee deck, not teed up

 

anyways, demo one, you won’t be sorry.  Try diff shafts, I tried 4 I had on hand and like any new club I find clubs perform dramatically diff with subtle shaft changes nowadays

 

mine is set up at +1, D, std 5g stock sole weight 

 

Recent tries for me as a reference … Elyte 3HL, Smoke TD, Rogue St TD tour issue.  I play any brand and have been a Ping G400 fwy wood guy for years

 

I just wish there was a tour issue triple diamond 5w with the adjustable hosel like they had with the AI smokes

Callaway is really doing good things. Im still in smoke td but everything you said about elyte is how I feel about smoke. 

 

You should hit the elyte tdtd (boobies) driver...

I might, I had the smoke max TD last year … but didn’t like the toe misses 

 

looking at Elyte mini 13.5 but I don’t think I’d need it, I may cave on 5w.  Testing IZ 6x in my smoked TD 7w today …

 

this years TD is better off the deck than the smoke, for me anyways, ymmv

What's funny is i had paradym 3d 3w and loved it. Someone said smoke td does everything the paradym 3d does...but better. I moved to it and love it. 

 

Now there's the elyte...grrr. 

 

The only thing I would like out of the elyte would be either higher launch or lower spin. I have my smoke set to +1 D too and it just spins a hair too much. But at 15 it doesn't launch high enough.

Concur on all; surprised at how under the radar the ETD fairway woods have stayed since release. The Elyte Ti suited me better in 3w, but ETD is the first time I've ever carried a 5w and it's been a favorite all season long.
