Bah. The final two rounds will be live on streaming only. The edited coverage will be available later in the day.

Looks like good weather for the first two rounds, and then a little morning rain on the weekend.

This is the one for Lottie to win, to emulate the beloved Roses feat. She has a rose on each cheek (Whereas Mimi Rhodes has the dimples) Out with the old, in with the new, Annna. The Lottie and Scottie show has been as much of a hoot as Itchy and Scratchy. Let's get this show on the Woad!

"She [Lottie, presumably?] has a rose on each cheek" ==> i googled and still can't find those "roses 🌹 on each cheek"

= i.e. are we talking (figuratively) re rosy cheeks on her face

... or other less-visible cheeks? (if so... then you're a cheeky monkey @Tom Kelly!)

My field rating for this tournament is 47.5%, down from 60.5% last year.
My breakdown is 47% from the LPGA Priority List and 48% from the Rolex Rankings.
Four of the top ten players from the Rolex Rankings will be teeing it up:
Nelly Korda #1
Minjee Lee #5
Maja Stark #8
Hyo Joo Kim #10
Top ten players skipping the event this week:
Jeeno Thitikul #2
Lydia Ko #3
Ruoning Yin #4
Angel Yin #6
Haeran Ryu #7
Mao Saigo #9
Defending Champion - Lauren Coughlin

Other Stuff:
Grace Kim's win at the Amundi Evian Championship was the second win this year for a player from Australia. It was the fourth tournament to be decided by a playoff this year. Seven others have been decided by one stroke.

The LPGA has completed eighteen tournaments this year without a repeat winner. Yes, they have had nineteen different winners (the Dow had two winners).

Jeeno Thitikul's top ten finish was her 8th of the year which leads the LPGA. Jeeno is trying to take home the top ten crown for a fourth consecutive season.

Lottie Woad accepted her LPGA membership and is teeing it up for the first time as an LPGA member this week.

Ruoning Yin had her cut streak snapped at the Amundi Evian Championship at twenty straight. Nelly Korda now has the longest current streak with sixteen consecutive cuts made.

Rio Takeda continues to lead the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year race with 826 points. Miyu Yamishita is runner up with 640 points. She is followed by Chisato Iwai (596) and Akie Iwai (364).

As is usually the case after a major championship, there was lots of movement in the Rolex Rankings by LPGA members:
Nelly Korda is still #1 this week (by a narrow margin), for the 107th week in her career. In doing so, she has passed Inbee Park who held that position for 106 weeks in her career. Nelly is now in fifth place on the all-time list, just two weeks short of Yani Tseng who holds the fourth spot.
Minjee Lee jumps into the top five this week, moving from 6 to 5. Haeran Ryu falls out of the top five, dropping from 5 to 7.
Grace Kim skyrockets from 99 to 25.
Andrea Lee powers her way up from 36 to 27.
Jennifer Kupcho improves from 38 to 33.
Gaby Lopez rises from 64 to 58.
Gabriella Ruffles leaps up from 71 to 59.
Lottie Woad catapults from 143 to 62.
Leona Maguire rebounds back up from 85 to 74.

In the all important Race to the CME Globe, where players have to finish in the top 100 to maintain there full time playing privileges for the 2026 season:
Emily Kristine Pedersen greatly improved her chances, rising from 90 to 78. Narin An did the same as she moved up from 87 to 79.
Aditi Ashok (94 to 88), and Julia Lopez Ramirez (95 to 90) still have work to be done but certainly helped their chances.
Ruixin Liu (105 to 92) Jeongeun Lee5 (103 to 98), and Jasmine Suannapura (106 to 100), all jumped into the top 100 this week.
In Gee Chun (96 to 102), Brianna Do (100 to 103), and Jing Yan (97 to 104) all dropped out of the top 100.

It seems a no brainer to play this week with a very similar test and probably weather coming next week? If you have qualified then I don't see why you wouldn't tee it up.  With no LG about, I'm going to go for a another good week for Cara Gainer, think her amundi exploits will have really built her confidence mixing it with the big boys! Aka girls. 🤣.

I think a lot of them just dont fancy a potential survival test.  Much less 2 in a row.   Slower ball speed players can be made to look foolish in a hurry when the wind cranks up.

Maja.  Reading Tony's summary, arguably one of the featured players, 8th Rolex and 24th CME.  One of the sites I use has her behind 46 (!) other players in terms of likelihood of winning this, gives her same odds as Van Dam, Emma Spitz, Luna Sabron Galmes, Perrine Delacour and Julia Ramirez.  True, aside from the win, Maja hasn't done much this year.  Feast or famine?

(I do like Ramirez...she sits in driving distance right with EKP, Auston K, Bianca, Leblanc...surely one of these bomber types will eventually have "their week" or balance the game enough to win).

Notice the cameraman wearing a kilt!

Wonder if @pga43 @knudson81 @atursky would wear a kilt, when photographing gear for us at events!

I'm told "proper Scotsmen" don't wear underwear ... and the "Sporran" (small waist-bag worn with a Kilt/ predecessor for the modern-day fanny pack) had double-duty i.e. to prevent a Marilyn Monroe-style "indecent exposure" flip up of the kilt!

The coverage was a real head scratcher. If the Golf Channel is going to use the LET feed, couldn't they at least use the same commercial breaks? Crazy to miss shots from the "feature group" when they cut away just as the player is about to hit.

Soft turf and calm conditions early certainly helped with the scoring.

Lottie setting herself up for a "hold my beer" moment. Lol.

Didn't it have something to do with the host broadcaster being a subscription service and having relatively few commercials, particularly "during" the actual sporting event (as opposed to before/after or while on some kind of intermission).

Lottie played some great golf.  Let’s hope she keeps it up.  Mimi not having such a good week.

Surprised Linn Grant not in field.  I assumed she would be playing.  However, her Instagram shows her playing some great courses in preparation for AIG Women’s (Burnham and Berrow, Remedy Oak and Hayling Island, the last of which is a very underrated links).

Probably. I guess the Golf Channel can't hire an intern to watch the broadcast, and click on the 'Commercial Break' button when the feature group has hit their tee shots and has started walking down the fairway.
