Reshafting an old Ping BeCu PAL2

Anyone know what putting shaft would fit an old Ping BeCu PAL2? This is the kind where you have a shaft that would fit over what looks like a flared end. (No ball bearing). GolfWorks has a "Flare Tip Putter" shaft MA0310 that is Tip Diameter .382 for $14.99. I'm guessing this would work? My calipers say it's .370. All the iron shafts I have laying around are too small to test fit with.

I don't think a standard .370 shaft will fit on it.

Never did one back in the day. I would not be surprised if Ping used a proprietary shaft and a standard flare tip won't fit. Wouldn't be something I would mess around with unless I was willing to waste the money and order a shaft on a guess.

Did you pull the shaft already and measure .370"? If so, why don't you think a .370 shaft will fit? And regarding that .382 shaft, for the money, it's a low risk trial. Going back to .370, you could always sand down the head a smig, assuming just a slight bit needs to be removed. That head is 17-4 stainless, which is hard metal. Not easy to sand away more than a couple thousands without power tools.

I did pull the shaft. I bought some cheap calipers to measure and it comes out at .370. I guess I could use my grinder on it to force the .370 shaft to work. It won't win any awards but it's for me so who cares.

Ping makes everything difficult to work on. Same thing with their irons.

All the Ping Anser putters I've reshafted from that time frame used .355. Never reshafted a PAL
