What bounce for 52*?

I'm around a 20 handicap using GI irons, but need to find a 50 or 52 to split the difference between my 44* PW and 56* SW.

I'm looking for a Cleveland to keep all my non-woods in the Cleveland line. 

I have a 60* RTX with 8 bounce, and a 56* CBX with 12 bounce.

 

I find the CBX nearly impossible greenside, but in bunkers it's great. Where I play it's anything from moderately soft, to firm as concrete. I especially found chipping greenside from a firm like, in light to moderate rough, nearly impossible with the SW.

 

I'm thinking of a 50 or 52* gap wedge but am torn between 8 or 10 bounce given my conditions. 

I tend to take a shallow divot with a  relatively flat swing, and I'm pretty consistent in my partial and full swing planes.

 

What do you all think? 8, 10 or something else to consider?

I don’t find that 2* of bounce matters much with a gap wedge.

 

I guess if you have firmer fairways, and since you don’t take much of a divot, 8* would work. Softer conditions, 10* should dig less.

I just look for the best deal on a club, buy it, and see if it works for me.  I play ladies flex, which means that good deals are there to be had.  It can also be hard to find specialty grinds in ladies flex.

Ladies flex wedges can often be found with pristine faces as women typically use soft balls and slow swings which wear down club faces much slower.  They may also take better care of their clubs and not abuse them.

 

It may not be hard to re-shaft a ladies flex clubs head if you play steel shafts.  Steel shafts are easier to work with than graphite shafts which can be damaged by twisting under heat application.

I found 4 degrees of bounce to be a big difference with a 52 degree Vokey and I know 8 degrees isn't enough for a club I'm using mostly from the fairway.  

 

No way you are in bunkers enough that you should be playing a 56 degree wedge that sacrifices the benefits of a 56 degree wedge around the greens.  No idea how the grind is on a CBX, but 12 degrees of bounce in a 56 isn't (generally) too much so I'm guessing it's down to your technique or find a 56 degree wedge with a bounce/grind combo that allows you get the most out of it.
