Nickent's one-of-a-kind technology, ARC, or Accelerated Rebound Core®, consists of an internal core that positions a high-rebound elastomer directly behind the strike zone, delivering a lively, solid reaction from the face to the ball and eliminating vibration.

 

The elastomer weighs 7 times less than the steel surrounding it, creating an internal cavity. This internal cavity gives birth to muscle back wedges that have the look and feel of a blade, and the playability and ease of use of a modern cavity back.

 

ARC is one of the only patented hidden perimeter weighting systems ever used in a wedge. Three windows into the clubhead on the back of the club allows you to see the innovation that is being used for the first time in a wedge that has the shapes and transitions that both tour players and amateurs crave.

 

Nickent Master Designer John Hoeflich's passion has always been wedge design. Giving him the project to work with the tour players to build the best looking tour wedge, combined with the forgiveness and feel that ARC technology provides, has made this one of John's favorite projects. The results say it all: It has been a long time coming since a wedge offered this much innovation, this much performance, this much feel and this much good looks all in one design.

Bought one of these for $45 new at golf town here in Canada. Amazing wedge, I am loving it. Has a real classic shape (similar to the callaway forged)... the wedge has milled grooves and spins the ball extremely well. I almost regret paying the money for my clevelands when I could've got the same feel and performance from Nickent. Awesome wedge!

I've demoed these wedges on 3 occasions now at recent demo days. Every time, I'm amazed at the terrific feel, great control, forgiveness, and super SOLID feel on full shots. The sole grind really seems to work well, the milled face gives good spin, and the accuracy and feel on full shots is tremendous.

 

last time - I went back-and-forth between this wedge and the Mizuno MP-T (which I thought was the holy grail of wedges). I was getting better results from the Nickents. Super sandwiches, they will likely be in my bag it appears.

I have the ARC wedges and I love them. Great feel and they are the best looking wedge I've seen. I highly recommend them.

Hard to believe these are cast they are so soft much like the 3DX Pro irons. Will modify this post once they make it to the course for further testing.

how do they perform when you open them up? Is the leading edge raised quite a bit or pretty low?

I use the 56* so there is a lot of bounce there...the leading edge is what you would expect for a 14*ish bounce, but this club is really such a great feel, like others have mentioned. Very soft and confident looking at address, quite a nice looking wedge.

Haven't had a chance to play them myself yet, but since I've been doing my stint here, I got a set of wedges for my dad to try out. He played a couple rounds with them and really liked them. Said that they are super soft feeling and were great out of the sand. They actually took his trusty 5 year old Vokeys out of his bag. I'm gonna have to give them a shot myself, but I have to say, it will be hard to beat out my Cleveland CG12's. They have cheater grooves that make the spin on the short shots almost impossible to beat.

So I've gone out and played a couple round with these wedges in my bag now, and I have to say that I do like them quite a bit. On full shots, they feel very soft...most likely because of the elastomer which is injected into the middle of the club. On chip shots, they feel nice as well, but I don't think the spin is quite on par with the Cleveland CG12's. Not to say that it's not good, but I haven't been able to hit a two hop and stop chip with them yet, which I can do with the Cleveland's. Aside from that particular shot, though, they do check up pretty decently and I'm going to continue playing with them for a bit. Gotta get used to the minor difference in feel on short chips, but overall, they are very sold wedges.
