I'd settle for getting my hands on a supply of those fine line cord grips.
+1,000,000. The lack of decent cord grips today is one of the great mysteries to me. A set of TP-19s and DGX100s are pretty easy to come by. But those grips....good luck.

Has anyone got the new Swing For Life? I'd like to know how much new material (are all the swing sequences new?) is in it! The Kindle version has embedded videos!
Yes I have it. Not as good as the old.one in my opinion as the swing sequences of Nick are new and he looks cumbersome to me compared to how good his swing looked in 1995. Still a good read. And there is one or two interesting rethinks on his ideas set out in the original book. If you are a Faldo fan I would get it.

Seems very strange seeing Faldo with TaylorMade and Adidas. He foesnt look right in anything but Pringle and Mizuno
Thanks. I will ask Santa for it. I'm interested to see the new stuff. I was wondering if this book would be aimed at seniors. As much as I admire Sir Nick his swing wasn't quite for life: just an awesome bit of the '80's and '90's!

Thanks again.

Did he ever use a 1 iron?

What club did he use when he hit that soft fade off the severe uphill lie on the 13th at augusta one of those years he won it?

TP-19, 2 iron
Yep. 5 wood didn't look right behind the ball. For someone who often gets written off as "mechanical" he had great feel.

Pretty sure he used a 1 iron for a while, I also think he put a "zero" iron into play, if I am right it was for the '96 open at lytham. JD and VJ were also bagging these at the time.

He talks about his 1-iron in his book Golf: The Winning Formula, it would have been that TP-9 prototype with the wing-back muscle, if I remember he gave his yardage for it as 227. That would be back in 1989-1990.

Funny because that's a hard 3 iron for me now. 23* 38.75 length. Just came back from course using some old balatas...couldn't get the sucker over 205. But I hit them reallllly hiiiiiiigh. Loved the flight. I say we go back to balata. :D

How the hell did Nick get his TN 87's to D4 swingweight with 10 layers of tape under the grips?? He must have needed very heavy shaft tip weights and a strip of lead tape on the heads too. The things must weigh a tonne.

"IRONS: Ping i3 Blade (2-5) Ping i3 O-Size (6-9), Mizuno TP-19 (PW) with Dynamic Gold X100 shafts - D4 - 1° Upright"

Quite a mix of irons here. The smaller club head in the long irons, oversize in the mid irons, a bladed set of wedges. Anyone know why he did this?
I think I covered this earlier in topic, but now forget! I'm sure it was offset related, needed more offset in short irons
