OnOff 247

Looking for some pictures of the OnOff 247 PW and/or 9 iron from the top in the playing position...similar views/pictures that are seen in Carl's WTIB "Bag of Tricks" of the 5 iron.

Also, anyone have any information/reviews they would like to add would be greatly appreciated (I know I've spoke through PM with a lot of the Hawaii Wrxers....thanks for your feedback).

Any additional feedback on playability, comparisons with similarly designed irons? Heal to Toe blade length comparisons to irons such as the Mizuno MP 33/32, Bridgestone J33, Scratch SB1/AR1, etc.?

The blade length is about 3 11/16" measured along the split in the cavity. This is pretty much the longest measurement of the blade.

What do you want to know? The OnOff Plus looks bulky compared to the 247s. Top line is wider, and to me the overall look is heavier than the sleek, almost blade like address look of the 247. As far as playing performance, I beleive that the Plus is a little more forgiving and definitely not as soft. I am almost certain that the Plus models are not Miura forged.

Wish I could give you a comparison, but I have been playing Miura tournament blades and the 247s for a year now and haven't had the urge to even try another club. I would think that they would play similarly to a Callaway XForged, but probably not as forgiving. I guarantee that they feel better. This is not a hit it all over the face and not loose any distance or direction type of club, but it is definitely more forgiving than the blades. Very workable in all directions.

Try the Bridgestone J33 or J36. Considered US OEM, but likely forged by Endo and has a real nice feel. I used to own a set of Titleist 735.cm and they are also very playable, not as soft feel but softer than other US offerings. Haven't tried any of Titleist's recent stuff. Cobra CB looks nice too, but again haven't tried it. I'm not a fan of Mizuno offerings in the U.S.

Plus is forged by Nelson in China...BUT...they are still very soft irons. If I was to choose between the two....looks 247. That's about it for them. For playability, forgiveness, still very good feeling and nicer looking than the majority of US OEM stuff, Plus Forged easily over the 247.
