London Golf Show pics

One of the people at the London golf show was a company new to me - Made in Japan.

For all those Euro's who are used to sucking hind teat when it comes to Japanese equipment, we finally have an option with Made in Japan who are exclusive European distributors for Fourteen, Royal Collection, Crews, RomaRo and official UK reps for YuRuRi.

It says something that the gentleman standing next to the Fourteen bag is the Chief Operating Operator and Vice President Masashi 'Marcy' Kamoda who came over to show his support for this venture. Marcy was an absolute pleasure to talk to and was more than happy to answer any of my questions as was the boss of Made in Japan, Nick Bunch and the rest of the lads on his stall.

That is a very good new for us in the UK.

I did not go to the show this year, as in the same week I bought a set of Miura CB202, a TEE CB2 3 wood and a Adams pro proto hybrid, so I decided to give my wallet a break ;)

Great news, now hopefully golf magazines will pick up on these for future reviews to up their profile in the UK. Us brits have just been fed the big OEM marketing crap for a long time and are only starting to see signs of high quality alternatives from America and Japan.

I'll be having a word with the guys to see if I can wangle anything for Bag Chatter reviews. I do know that the Equipment Editor from GolfPunk, Dan Owen, was very interested so maybe you'll be seeing something sooner rather than later.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I've been to the 1st golf show, a big disappointment! Never been to any of the succeeding ones since. Looks like there is something to look forward to from now on.

Lol, I've been checking it everyday since you told us about it mate.

 

Judging by the amount of people I've told about it, don't be surprised if it crashes at some point today!

I don't know how it performs, but the crews driver is the best looking head I've seen in years. It really is a 460cc looking 975d even down to the paint job.

Great to see the website up and them stocking the likes of Fourteen and Royal Collection. Hope they can also get Epon, Yururi, Yamaha etc. Also some retailers in the Midlands area would be helpful, so don't have to travel too far to demo them.

 

Edit: Also very pleased to see they will be having 'demo days' as well. Obviously makes sense if they are serious about promoting Japanese clubs in the UK. Many golfers will be put off investing in relatively unknown brands, at least without first trying them.

I'm not sure what their plans are for getting gear from other manufacturers than they already have but they do already have Yururi. I know they are aware of this thread so maybe if others agree, they might have a think about it!
