Yea his wife is pretty good looking.

 

And this episode has been pretty entertaining/funny so far. He is out of control though, thats what makes it so good. Also, the best comment was Veejay's when he said, "Learn to make a 3 footer then you can talk," after JD made fun of him (cool)

Well, big John isn't going to be seeing them for the next 5 months. She's on a vacation at a federal correctional institute. I think I heard in that interview (not on the Daly Planet but Golf Central, sorry to thread jack) that her parents are also on a similar vacation.

 

True...but according to George Costanza, conjugal visit sex is great. And if she should break out he'll experience the one sex better than conjugal visit sex: fugitive sex! All hail George Costanza and his great wisdom!!

Lost a lot of respect for JD with this show. He really doesn't give one crap about his fans or friends. I though that Mr. Fan song was an absolute joke. If he cared so damn much, why doesn't he try harder?

 

"I hate playing 6 hour rounds when I could be home drinking a beer" At least we now know where his priorities are and it is not on golf. It is getting as drunk as he can.

 

One more thing, this jackass is not "EVERYMAN" I have too much respect for the people that actually work hard for what they get and appreciate what they have been given to compare them to this spoiled rich kid that never grew up but can hit a golf ball.

 

I was a big fan of JD's until this show and how it truly shows him for being the reckless and careless person he is.

I'm still going to watch, but I hate how they always show him with a cig in his mouth. It's like GC is trying to show kids "if you want to be on tour, stick a cig in your mouth, puff up, and have a great time. Oh, and the beers better be cold." Come on now...

 

Vijay was hillarious though. I like the comment he had after Daly spoke about '91. "You're still talking about that?" Had me gasping for air for about 3 minutes. (cool)

 

And that song, wow. Those lyrics are pretty cheesy. :huh: Also, funny how he talks about the fans, while he shuts the door on about 5 of his fans looking for autographs.

Does anybody know enough about his past to give us a short synopsis of it? I'm just curious because I don't know much about it at all. Something about him being an alcoholic, his wife selling drugs, and his multiple divorces. I don't know if any of that is accurate but who knows what really happened? If you know, let us know

This pretty much sums up my feelings as well. Hey, he's just a jackass who can hit a golf ball, I don't see anything here that makes him any kind of person you would want to emulate. He reminds me of some who can’t grow up. So far the Golf Channel is 0 for 2 on their reality shows.

 

On the other hand I would love to see a show with Vijay – having the cameras follow him around as he prepares for a tournament and such. He came across as a much more mature person/player and it’s reflected in his game.

And last night proved you very accurate, he has a big heart, and he's just like any of us.

 

He enjoy a few beers on the course while playing, loves him some BBQ, and has a heart of gold, I still have allot of respect for the man, he's done more for charity in 1 year than most professional athleats do their whole careers

I've got more respect for the guy now after what I saw last night. You're right jones, he's just a regular guy who wants a few beers out on the course, I get that now. For him to do that for those girls was great. As for the Pro Am part, that was great. "To Bob, you're a pain in the a**!"

Let me disect this for a minute, bear with me.....

 

If he doesn't care about the fans, why did he donate $30k of his winnings at the 91 PGA to the two daughters whose father was killed during the first round of play after being struck by lightening?

If he doesn't care about the fans, why did he dedicate the Buick win two years ago to the fans?

If he doesn't care about the fans, why did he give the putter away after missing that putt last October in the playoff against Tiger to a fan that was standing the gallery?

If he doesn't care about the fans, why in last week's show did he show up for Fuzzy's benefit shoot-out and countless others?

If he doesn't care about the fans, why does he constantly do charity events and support Make a Wish?

 

Spoiled Rich Kid? If you were to see the town he grew up in and the goat ranch he used to play golf on, or know what his parents did for a living as JD was growing up you'd realize he was far from ever being a rich kid.

 

Sure JD says or does things that make most of us shake our heads in amazement or disbelief, but to say he doesn't care about the fans and to call him a spoiled rich kid is way out of line here.

 

Get your facts straight before you come on here and bash someone without ever really knowing that person or where they came from dude.

How about Daly's wife. Once a thief always a thief, doesn't matter if it's a stranger or your spouse. I see her breaking the bank on that poor guy. That's just my 2 cents based on my experience as a police officer. Now about big John. I like that guy more with every episode, really seems down to earth. That opening song is a catchy little tune.
