For me it was being able to get whatever I wanted...for some it'll me the softest steel used in irons and wedges on the market, others it'll be brand name, etc....But yes, they are what everyone makes them out to be if you get fit for them, the best clubs you can get.

Now gaming a trio of custom ground square toe'd vokeys(they look the dog's dangly bits!) and chopped my putter down to 33.5" today. Much short game goodness :jester:

I don't get why you guys like the rusted look! They look like you unearthed those wedges during an archeological dig! :jester:

 

Maybe it's lame now, but I still like a nice chrome look... I know it's all a matter of personal taste. btw what did you do with your old $cratch wedges?

I still have them. I'm only using the vokeys for aesthetic reasons, I have a thing for square toe's on irons and wedges. I will more than likely buy another set for next season :jester:

They were the first set of irons I bought with my own hard earned money. Had them for 3 or 4 years now. Had them stripped last year :good: Great set of irons.

Rebuilt my Scratch irons with KB tour 5.5's again. All spine'd and flo'd now :)

I still have the white ferrules, they were just a pain in the arse to save. Getting pretty dirty, but they are still there.

 

Jay, ill see if i can. Basically a quick zip on the grinder and off goes the toe :clapping: Just looks better to my eye, thats all.

 

They look a little goofy from the back to be honest, needs some of the 'edges' rounded off better.

How are you finding the 755's? I demoed a set and found them to be suprisingly soft. Something to do with that aluminium thingy I think. Might look cool with red grips and red ferrules. If you like red.

My 755's are with a friend who's visiting for a couple of weeks, along with my R, but I do like them. Mine aren't red, but silver :D

 

got X100 SL's in mine, and they are superb.

Which one are you gaming the most?

Fubuki/Burner TP V1, but I only built it 3-4 days ago(23rd).

 

Being honest, they all go plenty far, they all feel good(some in different ways to the others), and all look great, and are great drivers(although some sound awful!), it really just depends at what sort of head I want to look at or what tickles my fancy on the day ;)

 

The Nike and Hibore have both had the hotmelt treatment, to try and deaden the noise they make, seemed to have done to trick with the Hibore, not hit the Sumo yet.

Plenty from me. Questions tho too lol. How do you find the V1 and V2 to compare along with the Fubuki vs 6Z08? Those two shafts (7Z to be precise) are on my radar as i have others i want.

 

I've got a Sumo2 Tour with code-7 i can't load (too stiff a flex and will be in CB2 soon) which is about to get an Axivcore red. Got a TI Version 1 TP which will get either an F7M2, Axiv Red 79 or as of yet unobtained 7Z08. In the bag is a TBTP with real Whiteboard 73s, a sensational combo. I'll have one shaft too many and will get a whole lofted TBTP or 2009 Burner TP. Loving TM's TP work from 2007 forward.
