Those 660's would give the 681's a run for my favourite Titleist blade of all time - the finish looks great, hope they work as well!

it looks like the 660's have a large amount of offset, is this true or just a bad camera angle?

 

No they do have an increased offset over the 695's and others, supposed to be very forgiving and easy to play.

Could Joe K post the offset specs for these irons? I would love to know to see how forgiving my current irons (MP 60's) stack up to Titleist's 660's.

I have been infatuated with the 695s since I first saw the pics. After lookin' at these pics. it looks like the 660s might appeal a little more to my eye.

 

John, which set do you prefer after hitting 'em? Does it seem the 660 is a tad more friendly? The 695 is sure compact lookin'.

Too bad they went with satin finish. Never quite looks right to me on a blade. I've had a set of 660s off and on for a couple of months and no way would I ever trade my 681s or Ts for them. The 681s are night and day softer feeling. Hoffman versus Endo. The 695.MBs feel much better to me than the 660s. Of the whole batch the 735.CMs feel the softest. I'm still trying to find out where they were done because they are so much softer feeling than the 695 series or 660s I can't believe Endo did them. I can believe that Endo did the stainless versions though. I don't know when they are due out.

 

PS I'm not impressed with the latest 905R 7.5 I received with a Diamana shaft in it. It's going back for a reshaft ASAP---bad choice.

Sorry Sandy, i disagree, i like the Satin on the 660. I have always like the Satin look, but so few irons are made with that finish, its a nice option to have. I do however agree with the 681 comments, still my # 1 choice, but these are two pretty nice offerings from Titleist. The R head seems like a nice head, feels hot, but i agree, shaft will make a huge difference in this club, i am considering a reshaft also. Hope you have better luck with you new choice.

Thanks for the pics. Great comparison shots. The 660's look very nice. I definitely like the shape of the head better than the 695. The 695 appears to have a litte more squared off toe in the pics. The 660 looks similar in size to the 681 which is a good thing IMO. Still don't like the amount of offset on either of the new blades. I still like the 681 best though.

Good question, i will put them together again tonight, maybe i can take some measurements, i had them sitting against my pool table and never noticed . Great observation. I will try to get some more pic's.

The 695.MBs I played with all had the black plug in the bottom. It looks like they aren't in the set you are photographing or are my eyes deceiving me. Hopefully they haven't back gone to those rattling shaft inserts (plastic or wood) in the 695 series.
