My official welcome to DALLAS...Truck broken into!!!

Woke up this morning to find my truck empty....less than a week after moving into the new house in Frisco. Looks like over $9000 worth of clubs, Iphone, Ipod, radar, 4 dozen balls, 6 pair of Tifosi's, and 4 collectible Bettinardi Tour putters.

Here is most of what was taken..

Cally FT Hybrid 2H, 4H both with Banzai stiff

1 Tour Betti Carbon
Iphone (the original expensive one)
Ipod...just the 60 gig
Older Busnell yardage Pro....because I just bought a new one...SEE BELOW
New CallawayNikon 800 range finder IN BOX
6 pair of Tifosi Sunglasses...I have an account with them.
few dozen Callaway balls...

I quit trying to find more stuff that they took because I felt sick... If you see any of these being pedeled around the locker room, please PM me as I will gladly give someone $1000 for the name of the person who has my stuff.

The obvious question...why did you have all this stuff in your truck and not your house? Nonetheless...that really sucks and sorry it happened to you.

Crap! That flat out sucks. If the seller throws it on eBay, then it will be easy to spot. Make sure you check the local pawn shops.

Happened to a friend of mine here in the DC area....TWICE! 2 new sets of Cally woods and irons. Needless to say, he was a little sick about it! Sorry about your loss! Make sure you file a report with the police.

After you file the police report, check with your insurance company. You may be reimbursed, less deductible, under your homeowners policy.

To be honest it was all there because I was in the middle of unboxing everything in the house. I hadne played golf in over a month and had the putters in the truck because I had just played both that day and the day before. The Nikon had only been used twice and I still had the old one laying in the back of the truck because I was sending it to my brother. The Iphone was charging...and my 6 year old daughter wanted to listen to "Traveling Soldier" so I had just brought the Ipod to the truck from in the house where I had been listening to it while painting.

 

I'd sure like to walk out on someone doing this ....just once!!

really sorry to hear that, try to put your emotions behind you and take all possible steps to get your stuff back, posting here is a start, be sure to notify the police, even if they can't do much you have to atleast file an extensive report, remember anyone who would do this is not looking to play your clubs or anything like that, they want money plain and simple, you should check ebay daily for all of your things, it would only take one false move for you to find this asshat

 

you could also start a thread here that says "please help me find my stuff", and ask all golfwrxers to check ebay daily for your stuff, im sure a lot of us would do that for you

 

give detailed explanations of your stuff

 

remember whoever did this to you is probably an idiot to begin with, i dont know a lot of smart people that go around commiting grand theft

 

he's clearly desperate for money and is looking to sell this stuff soon

Sorry to hear about your tragic loss. I wouldn't bother with ebay these punks are more then likely looking for quick cash not a 7 day listing. Try Dallas Golf off of 75 in Richardson (972) 231-9399 they take in a lot of used product and Don Gafner (Owner) is a really good guy, this is the first place I would check, l would also check if you havent already. Craigslist Dallas/Ft. Worth maybe a spot to look. Lou's golf shop in Carrollton (972) 446-1418. I will print off your list and check a few other places, I'll call around to a few of my contacts. If there is anything else I can do to help you please PM me. Nothing would give me greater pleasure then helping you get your goods back. Now that I think about it, there is a Golfsmith in Frisco try there too, I think they buy used product as well. Good Luck
