Hello everyone, I wanted to enlist some good GolfWRX Mojo for a good friend of mine who is trying to beat Cancer. He's got a strange form of cancer called "Squamous" cancer that flared up last year, he went thru tons of chemo and drugs, and we actually played golf for the first time in YEARS last month. He looked strong and healthy, and no-one could tell the pain he's been thru.

My bud produces a Golf Statistics tracking book called "Par-formance", and we've played many many rounds over the years, gone to the PGA Merchandising show together, and even worked together professionally. He's got one of the best, most creative, artful, and graceful short game of any amateur golfer I've played with, and this enables him to shoot very low on occasion. We've had some differences (he used to drive me batty by using the cell phone on the golf course), but in all honesty - he's one of my BEST friends, and I consider him a true, honest, caring individual in every way. :friends:

Unfortunately - :black eye: the cancer cropped up again, and he's on his way to the hospital as I type this post. they found another tumour in the base of his skull, and he's going in for another surgery. I'd like to ask for some good "Mojo" from the board, and hopefully show him the thread to help him out, once he recovers.

I'll start! Here goes!.................

UPDATE: I saw my bud last night, and his spirits looked VERY GOOD. He's being released from the hospital today, and will go thru some more doctors and tests to continue his treatment. But his demanor, balance, appetite, and everything else looked spectacular!

He wanted to express many, many THANK YOU's to the GolfWRX community, I think it really helped his spirits, to know that other fellow golfers are thinking of him thru this troubling time. Again, thank you! :welcomeani:

UPDATE February 6th, 2009 - Sadly, I received the word today that my buddy passed away due to complications from the 2nd surgery. After he was released, he started a downward spiral, and passed away in a Hospice. My friend was a genuine person, true and kind, and a friend to the world. The golf world lost a good man today. :black eye:
