Just got this back from Byron after he modified it from rincon neck, and gave the face a tuna mill.

Took a Byron DH 89 in on trade. Arrived in a little rougher condition than I had anticipated. Luckily I knew where to send it.

Tom Slighter chopped off the neck, re-finished the head, added a welded slant neck with 30* of toe hang and did a fantastic job. Can't say enough about Tom's communication and professionalism. Before and after pics:

It's the tour satin finish, which I believe is just a shade darker than the glass blast. Roll is great, just fantastic sound/feel. The sweet spot is perfectly centered on the blade.

Here is my 615, came in today! Amazing feel, perfect lines for my eye. I actually tried to copy Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas with the stamping. The back cavity is more Hideki Matsuyama and I love the way it turned out. Also went with the "old school" stepped shaft! Byron does some pretty sweet putters and this is my first one, couldn't be happier!

Thanks guys, Byron is a first class guy! He makes some unreal putters and is so easy to work with. The feel is unmatched, blows all of my scotty cameron putters right out of the water!

Currently, they come on the new run of "Flatsticks DH89s" that are available through 303milled.com (Jimmy). There is a black version and a white version. Word is that there is another run of the covers in the works and when they are available, we will be able to purchase the cover only through Jimmy, as well.

I know head weights a pesonal preference but any advice on a good head weight for 34"-34.5" length. Going with the dh89 and use the superstroke flatso 1.0 which is 82 grams, if that helps.

I've got a DH89 that's somewhere in between 345-350 and 34.5", and I currently have a Flatso 1.0 installed on it. I'm actually having it regripped today because the grip took too much feel away from the head, so if you're going to use that set-up, I'd suggest going 360.

All my Byron's are 345-350g at 34".

To me, 360 feels like a sledgehammer.

Thanks Scotty1140 that's the range I was thinking even with the heavy grip I use. I'm used to an older scotty with a couple of pieces of lead tape. Was thinking those exact weights.

A member sent me a good offer for his dh89 but it's not the finish I'm looking for and has a dot rather than a line like I'd like. Wondering what cost would be to send to Byron to have new finish and dot converted to a line or if that's even an option?
