The putter feels great and I love the look.  Going to game it and see how things go.  

 

My question is whether anyone knows of a refinisher who is adding weights to the bottom of these and what the costs might be.  Thanks.

I recognize one of those as one that I owned for a while several years ago. Is anyone really paying the inflated prices for these putters? It's kinda gross how people are trying to profit off of Byron's passing like that.

NO one is paying the inflated prices, same putters that are 100% overpriced have been sitting on ebay for many months, some close to a year.

That's what I thought -- it seems like the same ones stay out there forever. I remember several months ago, a damascus one went up for sale and the final sale price was around what a lot of those more standard ones are listed for.

Picked up this sweet milled carbon John Byron Dale 10.5 recently. A tad light at 335g but feels spectacular.

I’ve got one of those. Milled, but with a    Nickel plated finish. Very cool putter.

Anyone in particular the go to for Byron restorations? Finally picked one up and leaning BOS for a simple black oxide. Dont need a remill or any machining done. Simple refinish.

Anyone ever take an 029 and refinish it to remove weight?  Love the feel and look just seems heavy.  Thinking of trying to take it down to 350-355 range but wondering if it will change the feel.

Took this one down to 350g with Byron's help several years ago.  Mostly by switching to a rincon neck...  We removed a bunch of the extraneous stampings as well.

Great looking putter.  Would like to get down to 350g also.  I am sticking with PN so only option would be to take weight off the face I guess.  Not sure how that affects feel.

I believe when I spoke with Byron on the phone years ago he said he takes the weight off the sole to remove 10-15 grams.  This is the option I would explore first unless there are stampings on the sole you cant live without.
