What's the Verdict?
Like a lot people here I have spent too many hours drooling over the stuff on tourspecgolf.com I have to say I love the look of some of the Geotech components. Their styling is classy and simple and it seems to be excellent value.

So, what's the verdict on their stuff? I realise it's probably not quite as high end as some other JDM stuff, but is it any good?

Any feedback welcome.

Geotech stuff are great, well at least the GT line of driver, FW, and UT. I had a Black GT 455 head I got from a moderator at TSG and shaft it up with my own favorite driver shaft and it was a bomb. The only issue is that the GT drivers gave a lower solid sound vs the higher pitch sound of other JDM (you can actually test the sound out at their site). The GT line of FW and UT are great feeling heads and just built two UT with my favorite FW pulled. Now I dont even hit the FW anymore. I would not hesitate to recommend Geotech to anyone as long as you do the research for the right product. I have not try their forged iron heads yet but was told they are just as good and a few of the models are still forged in Japan and not China. All the wood heads are made in China.

Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I'm looking at the GT black fairway and UT, which look great. The B-Stream Protos look very good as well and are a little cheaper. Do do have any experience with these? Also, how solid do the GT's feel?

I might try the new B Stream in the future but I have so much success with the GT line, I am not sure I want to be disappointed. I might actually order the new GT putter with moveable weights with mill face.

I'm definitely going to go for the B-Stream 3 wood and 20 UT. I just prefer the way they set up and additional forgiveness that they offer. The 3 wood is stunning and reminds me a little of the GS Tour in terms of how it looks at address. I also like the fact the face angles are square and that there is no offset on the UT.

I'm planning on putting a Fuji 660TR in the 3 wood and a Fuji E380HB in the UT. I'll write a review here with pics when they arrive and I get them all set up.

Anyone else with experience of Geotech stuff please chime in!

The GeoTech 50*, 56* Special Grind Wedges are my gamers. The "C" grind is terrific and keeps the face on the ground when you open it up. These wedges are forged in Japan and the fit and finish is excellent. Coupled with the KBS Nickel Wedge shaft, these wedges definitely feel and act like wedges costing 5 times more.

The grooves put spin on the ball but not so much that you can't control the shot into the green. My wedges spec'ed out at D8/9 right where I like it so I can better load the shaft on those little touch shots from 30yds on in.

At the price for a GeoTech wedge head, you will have room ($$$) wise to experiment with shaft combinations.

I really like the GT wedges. I have the 52*, 56*, and the 60* wedges. And, I have the three wood which is also very nice. It has a very solid feel and is long. The only disappointment I have had with GT equipment has been the driver. I had the 435 (I think it was 435) driverhead and it did not feel good at all. It had a dead feeling and just did not carry as far as my other drivers.

So, overall, I am definitely a fan of Geotech equipment except for the drivers.

Im using a GT455 black with a Matrix Ozik shaft. I love the shaft, but the head just doesnt do it for me. I was testing it side by side with a taylormade burner (which isnt my favorite driver as well) and the TM was out-driving the geotech by at least 10yards.

I wonder if its the setup or the construction of the head, but the GT455 black does not seem to generate enough ballspeed to get me to the distances that i want.

I've got the EK-4 forged irons. And they are great put KBS 5.5 pured and spinned and they are soft and straight. a little too much offset then i would like but I have learned to hit them really straight fairly(150-155 8 iron) long as well, the is look awesome, Very traditional and pretty forgiving. For the money 375 or heads 150 ebay for shafts and dd2 grips so with 600 into them they really are a great stick I think they are endo forged
