I found these statistics when looking up some product delevopement for websites. When i was on the website i started to type in a couple of my favorite websites i visit everyday. I couldn't believe it, but GOLFWRX was on the site.

They estimated the site to be worth $44,778.83
Daily Page Views: 20,447
Daily Add page revenues: $60.34

Just thought it was really interesting. I think the site is worth a lot more. My guess in in the seven digit range.
Does anyone really know?

I think 7 figures is a bit too high. GolfWRX is a great site and we all know that. However, it is a pretty niche market with some other competitors (bomsquadgolf, etc). I think that number is undervalued but 7 figures is too much.

Yea its def undervalued. I just tried facebook and they said it was worth approx $500million. A lot of experts say facebook is worth around 15billion. That site just uses metrics and I dont think it uses future cash flows or anything like that

IMO a website in and of itself is a fickle commodity. There are virtually no barriers to entry, I can use the internet to market myself, use a variety of SEO and SEM build membership, paid referrals, buzz marketing, etc and build a site to overcome anything if I so desire.

 

I doubt the owners could get $45k if they chose to sell the site/business.

People will pay a lot of money for an established and known url. Im a member on another computer forum (well a family of forums) that sold for well into 7 figures and well according to those sites are worth about 250k total.

 

These sites base so much off of traffic, and while that is very important, it's definitely not everything.

 

This site is probably worth more than 45k, but it really depends on what buyers are out there, it could sell for substantially more (7 figures may be pushing it) or it could go for a lot less.

I predict much less in this economy. The ease with which this site can be replicated coupled with the number of other sites that duplicate what can be found here further reduce the uniqeness of the site. I think the days of paying big bucks for a URL are over.

The thing is, because its so easy to get a site going there are many more "copy cats" out there. So it can be very hard to start from scratch. Like I said though, it really just depends on the buyer.

Very interesting to see that GolfWRX is 24% females. 5% are addicts and they make up 50% of the traffic. (I am definetly in that number!)
