Who is still baggin' 07 Callaway X Forged???

Still loving the cavity blades from 2 years ago, anyone???

I ditched my Adams A4 forged that I havd been gaming since their release arly this year.
They were great clubs except.........the lofts were mighty strong, the four iron replacement for the Hybrid 4 ( I custom ordered this set) played quite a bit weird compared to the other irons in the set. The stock length was 35.5 inch 5 iron which is long. I ordered my set -1/2 and they came in minus 3/4 so I gamed them for a month or so. Rather than send the set back for a shaft do over I went huntng in the store.
I found a new in plastic set of X Forged with the Aldila NV 90 gram stiff multi-comp graphite shafts,
and said keep the Adams.
These clubs are fun. They are softer than the Adams, but are less forgiving. I have no problem hitting them consitantly as I am a long time golfer and good ball striker.
Any of you still love your set of 07' X forged and why?
So many posts say they are diggers because of the grind, but out here in the desert with a bit more form conditons I say they are fine. Great distance from standard lofts for sure. The shafts are stout and low torque so they feel like light weight steel.

Let me here it from Callaway X Forged fans....tose of you still bagging them....that did not switch to Titleist or Mizuno forgings! lol

Still using mine. I like irons with a little less bounce so they are perfect.

weathers picking up (ground not so wet). So I have had them back in the bag again for the last 3 weeks and wondering why I took them out, great feel, perfect flight and look top in the bag!

Looking to pick some up soon since they are pretty cheap now, im haveing a hard time finding PX 5.5 though.

I sold mine a few weeks ago because of the HUGE divots I take so really smart me decides on the MP 62's (very good iron BTW) divots are smaller but I am half a club short (same shaft px 6.0 non-flighted in the mp 62's and flighted in the new x forged), same loft and lie and length, so now ordering a set of the new X Forged because of the difference in the grind and bounce (should be less of a divot) and will give you a full report once I get them and have had a chance to play them, I still miss my 07 x forged tho :russian_roulette:

Didnt need to see this post.......Ive been think about going back to them myself....I sure loved the short irons in that set.

 

If my R7TPs dont start working better I may just have to trade them for a set and go back again.

 

It has to be the clubs right?

I played the R7 TP's for most of 2008. The Callaway's as you know feel better, are more workable, and have 10 times the bag appeal. Go get some as they are reasonably priced now.

Love mine, except when the ground is too soft, then they dig too much for me. But under the typical conditions of my home course they are great!

I love mine and haven't seen anything I'd replace them with since I got them new in '07. For me I put these in the same category as some of my past favorites such as the TM Forged 300 and Mizuno MP32's.

I've got 2 sets, 1 brand new Tour Authentic 4-PW still in the box, and 1 slightly used non-Tour Authentic set 3-PW where a few of the irons have never been hit. I think I'm going to sell, but I'm not sure yet. Great feeling iron that looks great. I just can't seem to get away from MP 67's.

I am a new convert, hit them a year ago at a demo day and liked them. I found a mint set on ebay for a little more than $300 and they have sent my R7Tp's to the backup bag. Very solid iron, I am still working with them to get the overall feel but I like what I see so far.

I'm hitting the Tour Authentic X-Forged in my 3-6 irons and I'm very pleased. Great feel and distance control. The TAs have a little more bounce than the stock versions, so I have no problem with "digging".
