AKIRA ADR and PROTOTYPE M109 Drivers

I was able to try the Akira ADR Tour driver shafted with a soon to be coming to you UST Mamiya ATTAS 6X and the Prototype Akira M109 shafted with a UST Mamiya ATTAS 7X. The ADR Tour seemed to be pretty hot and had a great sound/feel to it. The Prototype which at first glance had the oddest looking sole I've ever seen. The sole was actually designed to keep the spin low and flight the ball lower as well. It too had a great feel to it but the Tour ADR seemed a bit hotter.

Since I got to try them, I figured I'd snap a few pics to share with most of you who have never seen or had the chance to hit this brand. As usual, only camera phone pics. :pardon:

Nice...the prototype sole looks quite unique, wouldn't mind gaming it. What is their price point, and how do they compare to popular choices such as Onoff, Tourstage and Epon?

The ADR Tour goes for close to $650...without the UST Mamiya ATTAS shaft which will probably be in the $300 zone when released in about six months.

The Prototype...no prices as of yet.

Exactly...that's "Mach 1" standing behind me next to my car. ;) These were sent by Akira and set up by Carl for Tad Fujikawa to test out. Lucky for me, I got to take a whack with them as well.

By the way..as for sound...very nice sound. Actually similar to Titleist. Not the higher pitched note like TM.
