9015d shaft options....

Need something anti-left that can take the HEAT.

I recently reshafted this head with the Quattro (had blueboard 73x before that).... Awesome shaft, probably the smooooooooothest shaft I've hit and low spin... but when I'm into the round and really loose I like to put the hammer down and I will sometimes get the pull/hook.... This doesn't happen with my Titleist... I don't know if it's the V2 or combo of the V2 and bore thru design but I can hammer on that thing.... It doesn't have the ballspeed of the 9015d or the smoothness but it can take the heat... I'm thinking since I'm more of a hitter (late lag 115-118 avg SS) I need something with a little more tip stiffness.... also something that will stay with me NO MATTER WHAT...

I'd like a shaft that's mid flight and low spin.... soooo it looks like one more reshaft before I give up....

Here's what I'm looking at.....

GD Throttle X
Fuji Tourspec 757X
Axivcore Red 79/89x
Whiteboard 83x.... (concerned this might be too low launch)

Give me your opinions if you've hit any of these combos in the same head and if your Swing style sounds similar to mine....

Well, I feel am I pretty close to you. Used to have a TM R510 TP with a HOF Patriot X. My mishits...I mean over swings went left. Started left with a 10-15 yard hook. That is a problem when your not expecting it.

 

Recently bought a 9015d with a stock X. Again went left on mishits. So I bought a Talamonti PD-80 X. Tipped it an inch. Haven't seen the left side of the course yet.

 

For your information, my SS is 112-115 mph. I have tried 5 different driver/shaft combinations this year alone. Had the same driver for the past 3 years before that. I had previously considered a UST Axivcore Red, 79 X, but was able to get a Talamonti for under $100 through the BST so I went for it.

i have a 1 time pull for sale, Accra xc 65 m5(xstiff) about 45 inches and not tipped. it is a stout shaft that has a mid to low tracj and low spin as well. it was too much shaft for me with a 105 ss.

If your looking to stay with the same smooth feel of the Quattro...I would recommend the Throttle or the YST st. I have built several drivers of different makes with the throttle's in x and xx, and they are as anti left as you can get.

 

Just put a YSQ st in my 9015d and it is just about perfect. Mid to mid high launch and the stiffer tip really takes off the spin found in the original YSQ. I found it brought the ball flight down a bit and control is great. Great run out and feels smooth and stable throughout the entire swing. Even if I get a little quick at he top, the shaft still performs very well.

 

I don't swing quite as hard as you (105mph but aggressive) and in stiff worked great for me, no tipping. I would think either in x would be the ticket.

Which Quattro? I have two 9015Ds. One with an MD-8x and one with a V2 86X and although I tend to draw the MD more they are both pretty anti left.
