Titleist Speeder???

I came across a Titleist 905R with a made for Titleist speeder for a shaft. Does anyone have any info on this shaft and how it compares to a regular speeder or lets say an NV? Let me know. Thanks.

not that this is much help, but I really liked that combo. The R and Titleist speeder were a great combo. I think many would agree?

I think I would like it to, but I just wanted to see if I am on the right path. I am finding my 65s NV to be a little soft, and I like the fact that the Titleist speeder is 74g and a little lower torque. Is there anything else I should be looking at. I don't have the chance to hit is as I am up here in the middle of nowhere ND.

this is totally subjective (don't get mad at me if you hate it), but I think you'd like that shaft. It felt kinda similar to an NV 75 to me.

The Titleist Speeder features the same honeycomb Triax material found in the Speeder 757 but plays and feels slightly softer. Performs well for players with quicker tempos seeking a mid-weight shaft that produces medium trajectory and spin.

I just hit one in a 909f3 and while it was probably the best "made-for" shaft I've hit -- I ended up asking the van guys for something that was a little more "beefed-up." It was a nice shaft but I found the launch to be a little less consistent than I wanted and it felt a touch whippy with more dispersion than I typically like. I am used to playing steel in my fairway metals -- but when he put a PRO95 X in it -- that made all the difference.

Not sure what your ss is but it would seem as if you're on the right track -- coming from an NV 65...

The last time I was on a launch monitor I was right around 105 ss. My tempo is probably more aggressive that it was when I went to the nv, so I was just looking for something a little tighter without getting to crazy. Plus I always wanted to try a 905R so this kind of fit the bill of what I was looking for.

iv been through 3 diff 904f 3 woods with the speeder due to cracking the face and i love them. i just got the 3rd one with the nv 75 stiff and hated it. i hit quick hooks or a huge block. i put the speeder back in and sure enough perfect. love this shaft. think i might even like it more than the real speeder.

I found the "Titlest speeder made for" far too whippy in the 905; i was very unimpressed with this shaft - moon balls

I paid the extra and was delighted with the pucka 7Fujikura 757 low spin and mid launch, no moon bombs (this leads me to dispute the "made for" kick point - my guess is low and the torque - no where near the 2.5 of a speeder 757)

However, the newer 909 series made for shafts (vodoo) are much better than 5-7 years ago.

Titlest are the most improved club manufacturer since 2008 in my opinion (and the best customer service from experience)
