I'm not sure how I feel about this. While I'm obviously excited...I'm also not. I'm just wondering if Bledsoe doesn't get him the ball often enough, how much will he complain?! :drinks:

Oh, he'll complain alright! That's all I read about this past year. The people of "Philaladelphia" have been ready to get rid of him for a loooong time. I'm not too sure that the Dallas fans are gonna welcome T.O. with open arms after his "pose" on the mid-field star a few years ago. We'll see. Simp

That's why I can't jump up for joy. I watched that game and I'm still bleeding out of my eyes angry about that. He has to prove himself BIGTIME! :drinks:

as an eagles fan this could not happen to a more deserving team. i cannot wait for the two meetings this year, especially the one in philly. the guy has talent coming out of his pores, but he is such a team cancer he will destroy everything parcells has worked three years to create and force him into an even earlier retirement than originally planned. the 'boys just sold their soul to the devil and will be in nfl hell for the 3 years (or until T.O. gets blackballed)

you might think he's kidding, but he's not. you don't wanna mess with a sports town like philly. honest example wouldbe during the playoffs a few years ago i saw a man (a flyers fan) knock a devil hat off a kid no more than 9 yrs old and stomp on it.....talk about crazy SOB's.

 

the moment he even decides to head towards the eagles logo fans will pour out of the stands and by the time he waks up he'll be up for a new contract

I NEVER advocate poor fan behavior at sporting events. I don't think just because you bought a ticket, you can throw things, etc.

 

That being said...I really hope T.O. comes to Philly right after a blinding snowstorm. I don't care how much they clear the Linc, there will be snow there, and T.O. will be pelted mercilessly. I don't even care if we forfeit the damned game.

 

We Philly fans get a bad rap. It's usually a few drunken knuckleheads who are in the minority that get all the pub. However, one thing we most certainly are is fiercely loyal. When you turn your back on us, you're dead to us.

 

When I take a step back, though, my Eagles really bungled this one. They let a division rival get better while they got weaker. Their pride and arrogance got in the way of sound football decisions.

who needs T.O. when you've got ryan howard hitting homeruns every other AB. i'm in the same boat as you man. i'm going to try and not think about the boys in green til sept and until then it's all about the phils.

I'll admit, I was the first one dismayed by the Thome trade to Chicago. Not only is he a helluva guy (met him in Clearwater last year, he stopped and talked to me and my son at length), he was a known quantity. I'm a big believer in going with the guy who's a proven producer, vs a guy with the "potential" to produce. Plus, I wanted to see him hit #500 in a Phillies uniform.

 

That being said...Howard is a STUD. I look forward to seeing him launch 35-45 loooong bombs this year!

I agree with that to a point. This will be a good test of Bill Parcells reslove but I think either Bill will reel him in or promptly sit him down. Bill has never been one to take any crap from a player and I don't see that changing.... ever. If Bill can get him to keep his mouth shout he should be an asset to the team otherwise he is indeed a cancer.

I myself cannot wait for the two Eagles games because now it won't even be close. Maybe this year they can make a special rule for "I'm too tired" McNabb and allow him to wear flags so he won't get hurt. Roy Williams + T.O= Long day for philly fans.

i think emmitt becoming the ALL TIME RUSHING LEADER is a bit bigger acomplishment than TO's 100th td catch.

 

IMO roy williams is possibly the most overrated saftey in the league, i'd like to see him make a tackle without using a guys shoulder pads. i think he's torn more acl's than he's got int's.

he picked off a guy who was basically at 50%, great accomplishment. what was he doing the season before when mcnabb went ape sh*t in dallas. a healthy mcnabb is on a short list of elite qb's in the nfl, a list that bledsoe isn't anywhere close to. :) :tongue:
