good swing overall. i can tell you are a good player, nobody's swing is perfect. that being said i dont see much of a sway in your swing. from looking at your footage it seems like you have aq pretty big hip turn. imop i would work on restricting that turn a bit to have more coil in your back swing. this will help you with consistency, striking and distance. you have very good release and lag is pretty good as well. i would try to look at swings of you hitting balls in order to really be able to tell what your actual golf swing looks like. I put my finger on the screen next to your right leg and i did not notice much sway but your right knee is kind of bowing outward. you want to keep that knee flexed but not bowing outward. overall great swing and keep up the good work.

 

ps i am not a teacher, my advice is just my opinion from what i saw in the clip. the issues i talked about may not even be to your concern. i am a student of the swing and eventhough i am a 2.9 index according to the usga i have many more issues in my swing than you.

Okay so After reviewing the info provided here's what I see

 

Face on:

 

Pretty solid Setup, I just notice your wrists are a lil cupped, I would like to see more of a straight line with your club and left arm.

 

Down the line:

 

I notice here how you bring the club back to the inside and get very flat coming back, a solid postion at the top but coming down from the inside which causes you too get a lil stuck and kinda flip the club coming thru impact instead of turning and extending thru the ball. Your common misses and blocks and hooks, correct?

 

I only say this because I have had the same problems and spent the last two months working on correcting them, and I'm sorry if I offended you but I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, just give you exactly what i see and you can do what you want with my advice.

 

(I would look at some pics of Ernie els or adam scott's swing to give you an idea of what i mean coming back)

pause ing it you have a nice swing nuthing wrong with swaying unless to do it to much ever looked at vijays swing????? the only thing i would say is keep your head down..... but i think you did that so you didnt scrape your nice TP's on the cart path

 

 

 

i also found in the front swing that you slide your hip to the left instead of a full rotation

IMO your not "swaying". Your turning to your right side. Your move into the ball is good. But you use too much hands at impact. Go back and look DTL. Pause it frame by frame. Your hands are cocked and passed the ball before we see your butt. You look stuck. I am guessing you take little or no divot. Probably pick the ball a bit and dont hit you wedges as far as you think you should.

 

Look at some freeze frames of any of the guys at the top. At least the guys that win. They all get to a point at impact where there hands are ahead of the ball. Get on an impact bag and start compressing that white skin.

You Could Turn More Onto Your Toes In Your Followthrough So You Dont Have To Turn Your Arms As Much But I Suppose That's Just The Flip-Flops (!)

 

Grip: Looked A Bit Off Remember Palm Of Right Hand Facing Target, Side Of Left Hand That Has Knuckles On It Should Point Towards Target Line As Well.

 

BACKSWING

Takeaway: You Could Get The Butt Of The Club A Bit More Towards The Target Line Your Grip Butt Points A Little Left.

 

Left Arm Parallel: Grip Butt Is Supposed To Point Towards An Imaginary Line Behind Your Ball That Would Extend Straight Down The Target Line If It Were To Continue. Yours Is Pointing Way To The Right Of That Line. You Should Also Have 90* Wrist Hinge At This Stage Try To Get That Too.

 

DOWNSWING

 

Everything is getting back into the rightpositions here so just work on your backswing.

you turn over your hands on the way back which could cause a slice or a pull and you also need to have a more complete finish

You have a perfect backswing with a great top of the backswing position. However your downswing needs a lot of work. You move off plane and swing too inside out.

 

One thing you could do is stand more square. I noticed in both of your down the line swings you setup with closed foot stance but not shoulders.

 

Downswing needs work.
