Check it out John. I remember it stars Randy Quaid and at a guess came out in about the late 80's. I haven't seen it for a while, and the quality of the surrounds (gallery shots etc.) isn't as good as Tin Cip, but it's a good show. Well worth seeing.

Dead Solid Perfect one more time.... Great golf movie. "Speck" is the caddy and he shows how to hit this low to HIGH cut shot... Just like every golf movie it has the stereotypical "Hotshot" Pro.. I recently saw one with a kid that had Gary Sinise in it but can't recall the name of it..

Its not really a MOVIE....its one of the Tiger Woods DVD's......No movie gets me more in the mood for golf than the MAJORS video from the Tiger DVD's.

Oooh...that's a toss up for me between Caddyshack and Tin Cup. I'm a huge C. Chase and B. Murray fan, but I'm also in love with Kevin Costner. :drinks: (Don't tell my husband!)

 

Worst movie ever: That's a toss up between Caddyshack 2 and The Legend of Baggar Vance. Two of the dumbest golf movies ever made. :crazy:

I came across "Banning" (1967, Robert Wagner) one wet day- quite an entertaining tale about a golf hustler. I think the golf sequences were filmed at Riviera and the period clothes, clubs. balls etc were pretty cool.

I have to agree. Those DVD's with Lawrence Fishburne's narration are amazing.

I was shocked that there were all those post before anyone mentioned "Follow the Sun"

 

Honestly I am a bit insulted that anyone would call Happy Gilmore a golf movie

 

Tin Cup was a little slap stick as well but I enjoyed it

 

I could not watch Caddy Shack 11

 

I only got through Caddy Shack once

 

I enjoyed Bagger Vance
