Just recently been given a set of these in nearly new condition, does anybody know anything about them ?

They have been re shafted s300 sensicore, half cord grips.

Are they worth much, been trying to find out about them on the net, guess they must be fairly old model?

If you try them out - very soft - and having toyed around with a few Maruman irons in the early 1990's I can say that the sole grind is second to none if it fits you. I played a similar set and they worked brilliantly from soggy rough, hardpan, you name it. At least for me.

 

Value - Maruman fell off the map in the mid to late 1990's, both in the US, but also in Japan. They make some nice quality clubs again, but I've never seen anyone attach much value to their older offerings.

 

Also, if you ever get a chance to try the Conductor YG or other Conductor irons with their original Maruman shafts - they had some amazing shafts made by Maruman with vandium and molybdinum among other exotic elements. They played very well and felt fantastic... Maruman were really ahead of the curve in the 1990's technology wise, unfortunately, marketing and management didn't translate that into growth for the golf side of the company.

Play Mizuno MP37 with nippon nspro gh 1150 x stiff pured shafts at the moment and also have a set of Bridgestone j36 blade (made for a uk tour pro) rifle project x flighted 6.5 shafts so wasnt really looking for any others. Will give them to my brother or stick them on ebay and see how they go.
