I have to diagree. I think you would want to install the PURED shaft into the hosel WHICH IS ALREADY SET AS YOU WANT IT in the head. After that if you change the hosel set up ,the shaft is no longer going to be aligned properly.

That's what they all say about the R9 tips. Find your setting, then pure and install.

Wow this club looks amazing...I never tried the evolver except from a friend who has a T spec one. I can not wait to hit this one....any idea on release date...or did I miss that in here somewhere?

Stop feeding rumors. There are no facts of what you have stated about them paying players. The Evolver was THE FIRST interchangable club and set off a trend. Glad to see them improving on it still.

 

 

Actually, as one of the unpaid players, there are indeed facts about players not being paid.

 

Now, that said, I still wish Nickent the very best. The product is great. John Hoeflich is a great designer and an exceptional person. I think the golf world is better with Nickent in it. They just need to get to a point where they have product in the marketplace so people can actually get it. They spent a huge amount of money promoting a product that people couldn't find. That makes it hard to make money.

 

I enjoyed my time with Nickent very much and the people at the company are good people. I hope they can get everything sorted and back on track.

I liked the original Evolver, and will definitely give this a try. An open faced Evolver would be awesome, especially if I can flatten the lie angle a little. The only thing I have a problem with is trying to find Evolver shafts on the bay or in the BST

wrong, shaft gets rotated. But honestly i would trade spined for adjustability, or just find the setting that is your fav and spine it to that. Not to mention most shafts today, voodoo, fuji with triax, barely have a spine due to the technology

Just got THIS from Nickent... My guess is the CYG adapter should be ready for ordering in the AM... Evolver with CYG is availible for purchase in the Nickent store

I also got the CYG email from Nickent. I see that you can buy Evolvers with the new hosel. I am waiting to see if in the morning I am able to buy the new hosel from the website. I hope so! Do you think they going to have both tip diameters? Does anyone know what the tip diameter of the old Evolver is? I have a .350 shaft that I would like to fit with the new hosel. I know that it is a good idea to pull the shaft with it screwed into the head and then do it like a regular pull. Do the shafts have to be tipped at all? I won't be doing it myself, but, I could use information to give to my guy when he does it. To complicate things, it is an Epic shaft. I know you have to use 24 hour epoxy, and not take off the foil, but that is all I know. What about ferrules? Do you need them for this? The ones they use at my local shop are so cheap looking, nothing like the factory ones. Can you get good ones for this? I thought these looked o.k.

I hit it and fell in love with it. I hit every driver out right now and this driver felt the best, and I love all of the adjustablity. It's going to be a tough two weeks waiting while they order it. I am having the DVS 65 put in it. Does anyone own this club and what do you think about it?

I spoke with Edwin Watts (where I bought the other Evolver hosels) yesterday (Monday, 4/27) afternoon and they are not able to sell the CYG hosels yet because Nickent does not have a SKU for them yet. They are hoping to be able to start selling them next week. :censored2:

I just got the first shaft with the CYG hossel in Buenos Aires, toyed around in the range with just about 20 balls, there are so many configs that is overwhelming. Really fun to play with, i went to hitting huge hooks to fades in just seconds with the same swing.

I have a question regarding ballflight Evolver? Is it the same as the 4DX Draw Spec? Also, can a change of shaft really bring down the ballflight? I just got a 4DX in 10.5 and love the way the driver feels but I had read it was low-spin so I got a 10.5 and hit it incredibly high. Thinking of swapping shafts out for lower launching and spinning shaft. Would you know the specs for the stock SR3 shaft in S-flex?

Stock SR3 is quite spinny, definitly a shaft change can bring the ballflight down for you.

I believe the Dspec is .350 and Tspec is .335. The evolver can take either as long as you buy the correct tip ... however a quick search of the forum should give you your answer.

All retail 4dx are .350 draw or tour. The .335 is the Tour issue heads, which have a T next to the loft.

 

With the evolver there are both .335 and .350 hossels, im guessing it will be the same deal with the CYG hossels.

Is the insertion depth the same for the Evolver as for the glue version?

 

Have the 10.5 drying right now with a Fuji Fit-On Six. Hopefully this will bring the ballflight/spin down as Fuji has this listed as a mid-high kick shaft.

Is there a CG/spin difference between the retail Tour Spec and the Draw Spec or is it just face angle?
