help identifying ping putter

This putter is BeCu color, might be magnesium i don't know. It' has Ping on the left bumper and Anser on the right bumper. This is what the Back Says:

This putter has a sound slot on the bottom.

I need to clean it also, so if anyone could tell me what model and what material it is made of, and the best way to clean it up i would appreciate it.

It's called a Ping Anser.

It's made of Manganese Bronze.

At last count Ping has made 22,655,117 of them.

With that zip code, it's not that old or a collectable.

however, they are good for making putts.

I had the exact same putter and I gave it to a friend who is just learning golf. He wanted it cleaned up, because it was in worse condition than the one you have pictured. I like doing restoration projects, so I took on the job.

First off I bought a 2 liter of Coke and soaked it for a night. It loosened a lot of dirt on the club and gave it more of a bronze finish. My buddy wanted it shiny, so I used a Dremel with a buffing pad and Flitz metal polish. It is so shiny, you can see yourself in it. You can get the same result without the dremel, but it will take a lot of elbow grease.

If you want to game it, I would just soak it in Coke overnight and use a little bit of the Flitz to help get some of the corrosion off. This will still leave it a little dull, and easier on the eyes when you putt.

I like mine with the aged look, but via recommendation on here, steel wool will do it.

i used the vinegar and salt solution that is talked about in the above post to clean mine

Needs lots of salt

Looked good without being too shiny
