Cleveland Launcher or S9-1

Which is the better driver???

Good afternoon,

I was wanting to know which driver people thought was better--the 2009 Cleveland Launcher or the Cobra S9-1 F?

Any input would be appreciated.

Do you need a driver with closed face? If not, these aren't the clubs for you. Both Launcher and Cobra have closed face. You will notice it more as you go with higher loft. Just my $0.02.

When I was sampling new drivers a few months ago, I hit both of these on multiple occasions.

I couldn't seem to hit the Cleveland to save my life. I like the S9-1s a lot, and they were toward the top of my final list. It was pretty hot, seemed to get good flight, and for me was easier to hit than the Launcher.

Of those two, I'd personally say go with the S9-1.

That being said, I ended up with a G10.

Have played both. Strongly prefer the Cobra. Cleveland head shape a little odd. Cobra S9 fairways also great. You may want to wait for new Cobra ZL driver coming out next month.

Had both and played both.....distance was good in the Cobra but the Launcher 9* was very long. I had too many drivers at the time so the Launcher had to go but I was thinking of finding one cheap and giving it another go. I liked the sound and the way the ball snapped off the face. My TM 282 is more consistent and length is about the same but really don't want to be travelling with it hence the desire at the Launcher (or I just need a justification for buying yet another golf club!!).

I played and Epic shafts in both....

Weird the 2009 Launcher on the LM for us was 5-8 mph slower ball speed than the top of this years drivers on many occasions.
