Here'e the exact info on the Blades people are looking for.

miurablade.jpg

Series 1957 Blade

Head Size (mm) #5 head

A: 65

E: 70

B: 48

F: 30

C: 49

G: 14.4

D: 30

H: 9.1(9.3)

Tournament Blade

Head Size (mm) #5 head

A: 68.5

E: 70

B: 50

F: 30

C: 51.5

G: 13.7

D: 31.5

H: 9.1(9.3)

Here are the comparison pics of the LE Blade and the Tournament Blade.

The LE(Baby) Blade is on the LEFT side of each of the pics / Tournament Blade on the Right side.

These two irons are the 6 iron.

Main Differences:

- The LE is about 3.5mm shorter in overall length

- the toe profile is a little more squared off on the LE

- Visually the LE is a hair smaller at address

- LE Blade is more dense and has a slightly more solid feel.

- LE Blade launches about 1* lower

- LE Blade has 5mph faster ball speeds in robot testing

The last two pictures might be the most telling difference. I have the LE Blade in front of the Tournament blade so you can see the length difference and shape difference.

Both Blades are equally forgiving...but the LE may be a little more "mentally" intimidating since it is a hair smaller in heel-toe length. Well struck shots are butter and go like laser beams...

Misshits don't kill your hands..but these are blades so misshits are sometimes not pretty....

Playability: I must say (for me anyway) there is no better club in golf than Miura Blade. When I miss, I miss no matter what the club, but well struck shots are so much better with these it isn't funny. Distance, control and feel are much better. I also concentrate on the shot much more with these rather than getting lazy with my swing and my game is rewarded. If you want a club to be lazy with...maybe this isn't the one, but if you want a club that will reward you and one that you CAN get better with...look no further. Just picking one up you may not be happy...but with the proper fitting..you will have the best sticks available.

I hope this helps with the questions....

You will have a hard time to find anything smaller than the Miuras, yes. ;)

Can anyone tell me what the sole grind on the Tournament Blades and the Baby Blades is like? Are they prone to digging?
[/quote]

Playersedge - I am too very interested to hear the answer to this as I play most of the year on hard, tight fairways.

I am also in the next 2 weeks selecting between Tournament Blades and the 57 Baby blades. Right now the increased ball speed (+5) is more than enough of a trade for the slightly smaller hitting area on the face.

Neither the new Tournament Blade nor the LE Blade are prone to digging... they both have a decent bounce angles and the camber on the sole aids in them not digging. The grind is such that they play very well of both hard and soft conditions...

The grind on the slightly older retro blades and Asia market Miuras is a little sharper and designed for firmer conditions so they can dig a litte on softer turf.

Hope this helps.

I play the 2010 comforming Tournament blades and love them.... I have a farily steep attack angle and don't have any issues with digging.

The TBs and the Tour Grinds have the exact same head size.

The TBs also have the same dimension as my Hogan Redlines, my Hogan Apex IIs have a smaller face- I'd guess similar to the baby blades if judging by the above pics.

Sorry forgot to check my MP 100s, but IIRC they are a bit longer looking. Haven't looked at my '05 Rac TPs in a loooong time, but I think they too are Ram/TB/Redline size.

I'd have to agree that TBs are easy to hit. Of the above, the Redlines are the most forgiving blade I've ever hit, followed by the '05 Rac +/- TBs, then Rams and Apex IIs. That being said the TBs are also the most workable of them all.

Of course the Tour Grinds have the absolute sexiest topline of them all......and the best shaft ever made- Brunswick Precision FM 6.5.

Good luck.

The badge was put on the LE blades in 2009 (I believe) to differentiate the two models and to create the Series 1957 line. The older models did not have the badge and looked just like the Tournament blades except for the head size.

I feel like the TB's may be slightly more prone to digging. I've played both and I prefer the way the small blade goes thru turf better. Not a sharp leading edge, some bounce and camber. Just perfect.
