Better than the Fourteen SF-206?
I have a SF 206 5 wood w/Graphite Design Quattro Tech shaft sitting here and a SF308 3 wood that have both been knocked out of the bag

It is a great FW (SF206) esp. with the quattro tech shaft. The EGG is better.
Pretty good 3 wood but I couldn't get over the look.
It does have a different look. Much like I've never been a fan of the square Drivers and a few other clubs. But, when you smoke the club over and over again you quickly get over the look of it. Which really isn't all that bad compared to some of the other offerings out there.

Agreed, I just always go back to smaller traditional shaped fairway woods. Trying some new Adams Protos that are slightly larger than my BTY which is quite small and will see if they actually make it into the bag.

BTW guys the closed appearance is caused by camera angle not the actual head and that isn't the PRGR wood in question but one made my Fourteen.

Yes, that is the Fourteen 5 wood not the PRGR Egg. And it doesn't have a closed face at all. Gotta be the camera

I'll post a couple of pics of the EGG here when I get a chance. I've yet to hear anybody (thats actually hit it) say they didn't think it was a great FW, looks aside.
idrive,

Are these the clubs that look kind of like the Highbore drivers? Kind of slopped toward the back? I ask as I have played the sf206 and it is about as classic from address as you can get, wondering how you adjusted to the egg.
That's the ones. I am an old school shape myself, have never been able to adjust to the square drivers.
When you set these down they set up very nicely. The odd shape just doesn't seem to pop out at you.

I must admit I adjusted to the shape very quickly. I'm sure it is because they are just so easy to hit.

I have got to say I bought idrives fourteen sf308 3 wood and if this new egg is better that would almost be like cheating. The sf308 is classic looking and easy to hit with confidence.

Idrive, you need to get me a couple epon hats.

That club better be easy to hit if it is that ugly. One of the more hideous designs that I have seen.

Actually a small egg. At address you don't really notice it. Remember these are close up pics.

Wow! Horrendous. I almost thought the pic was a joke after looking at the title of the thread.

Never said you had to like it. I'm just telling you that I have hit every club out there US and JDM. This is the best performing, easiest to hit, most consistant FW I have ever hit.

I find it a bit surprising that you would judge this club without hitting it.

It is an ugly club. I think the GS Tour and r7 TP are the best out there.

Tourspecgolf sells them. Check out the Forum page, there is a couple of threads reviewing this club. Everybody has fallen in love with these things. Even Shingo has one in the bag.

For me...appearance of the club at address has ALOT to do with how I hit it. I prefer smaller more traditional shaped woods like my bty but am trying out an r9. I can promise you I would not be able to hit that club. However just because I don't think I could hit it doesn't mean it isnt the best for you. Also just because you think it's the best does not mean that others will think it is the best. Just my .002

No, but you did say it was the "Best All Around FW on the Planet," which invites and in fact begs differing opinions. I'm not sure why you'd find it surprising that I, or anyone else, would judge a club without hitting it. The first thing I do when buying a club is look at it. If it doesn't pass the look test, it's never going to make it in my bag.

No offense to you (unless you designed it or something), but IMO, this "EGG" is one of the ugliest FWs I've seen recently. It looks like somebody took a pencil top eraser and jammed it in the middle of the clubhead. That doesn't even address the odd, geometric shape of the crown. Maybe aesthetics aren't that important to you (or maybe you think that looks good). Regardless, if it performs for you, that's great, but I don't understand the animosity when people don't agree.

P.S. I happen to believe Adams Golf makes the best fairway woods (and hybrids for the matter) on the planet.

[i]you're sure that face isn't closed?? It certainly appears to be.

Personally, I don't care WHAT the club looks like on the bottom or from the back, but from address it should look like a golf club IMO.

I happen to LOVE my r7 ST and can't imagine that there's a better fw out there FOR ME. Sits nice and open and actually looks like a golf club.
