Not great pics because its pitch black outside here,and the light inside is terrible !

 

But,believe it or not these are brand new.They've just had a little 'accelerated' wearing for an "antique look", and my initials hand-stamped in the back:

 

 

 

 

Ive also got another driver shaft,and am in the middle of ordering two more TP Mills SoftTails for my Mills collection..... :good:

Driver - Still going with 909 for 2011. Sorry Titleist. Not a fan of the 910 series.

 

3 Wood - Now 909F2 with satin finish head.

 

Hybrid - Sonartec MD19. Well you cant beat perfection.......

 

(All 3 been just reshafted with my favourite UST V2 shafts.Driver been tipped 1.25",and 3 and hybrid 1" to play a little firmer to flex)

 

 

Irons - X20 Tours Still.Probably forever infact.

 

 

Wedges - Same Callaways.Now with a nice 'patina building'.....

 

 

Putter - One of my 5,to be 6 soon,TP Mills SoftTails.

 

Ive also started collecting a bit of gumph from places ive been too,played at etc to fill in the gaps on my putter rack.Just for a bit of interest like:

 

 

 

And a few months ago started a collection of ballmarkers. Im going to try to get everywhere ive ever played which will be no easy or quick task.Would have been alot easier had i got them at the time mind......

With a little help from (And a big thanks to) a friend,who met up with me yesterday i now have yet another 3 wood

 

But,with regards to size,shape and the fact it appears to my eye to sit a tinsy-winsy bit open at addres; this Callaway Diablo Edge Tour might be staying for more than a few weeks.Fingers crossed,touch wood.

 

Re-shafted yesterday with a V2 75X,added a little china blue paintfill on the sole to match my driver and hybrid,and as it doesnt have any alignment aid on the crown which i normally like,ive painted the bottom two grooves on the face white, hoping i might just get a glimpse when setting up.You'd think after playing for 23 years i'd be able to aim the club at address :

Where did you get those frames from?

My father got them for me from ebay (UK). I believe they were meant for displaying Thimbles but they looked perfect for ballmarkers......

Rather than stick the markers inside each void,ive used blue-tack on the back of the markers and stuck them where the horizontal and vertical dividers cross,so that they are slightly further forward and 'in view' a little better.

Ebay usually has plenty of display cases available.

That didnt last long.....

 

V-Steel was seriously easy to hit,VERY long (For me) and felt great. However only had one shot with it and that was starting left,going left with left-spin.So its gone :wave:

 

 

 

 

After a right Royal runaround with 3 woods so far this year,i think ive finally found the holy grail,and TBH i think i deserve it !!!!!!

 

Freshly re-finished R7 TP from my genius club guy,fitted with a slightly less tipped UST V2 76X than i normally use which seems to give a higher flight and far better feel....and with a heavy slug in the toe,means its looking like ive got an anti-left 3 wood at last.

Much awaited Custom TP Mills SoftTail makes the bag: 348g bead-blasted stainless head with 1/4 shaft offset hybrid neck.

 

Ive got 5 other Softies but this one should be much as the stainless head ive been using for quite a while,just a little lighter.

 

And as im such a tart will roll along nicely with a matching Illiac leather cover and ballmarker too........

Nothing much here; apart from a 2011 Yes ! 'Courtney' has made it into the bag. Its the new version of the Tracy 2 with a 355g headweight,no-nonsense looks,and feels excellent......

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also decided im too old to carry multiple days in a row,so will often now be found with a staff bag and electric trolley:

Hi Syer, you've always had great taste in equipment. If it ain't broke... I see we share a like for UST shafts! You probably have much stouter versions than mine, but I really enjoy the feel and performance!

Morning Mr Carter :wave: Great to hear from you. Yep: Long time UST fan. Others call them boardy - but i LOVE the stout feel. Tried most from the range - but always come back to V2's......

 

***Ok,im gonna confess while im busy posting pictures: I do have a couple of things on the way from the USA to me any day now. Im doing the paint-fill,gripping etc myself so they are in their 'raw' form right now.

 

Two identicle putters in weight stamping,shape,loft + lie,deep face-milling etc.One in plumbers neck and one in flow-neck to have 2 variations on toe-flow depending on how i feel:

Those two putters are absolutely filthy, there was me thinking you had gone quiet on the putter front and you had these 2 up your sleeve all along! Fantastic, you going with the blue paintfill? I have to say do like them looking raw as is. What is that milling pattern?

Im might be quiet as in 'keeping it to myself'. But im never really [i]quiet.......

[/i]Paintfill - unsure to be honest. Thats one reason ive got them coming raw.The other being something to do in the Christmas Holidays !

The milling is a finer version of Byrons Tuna Miling. I believe some call it Minnow milling. I specified "Tight and Deep" - so am keen to see and more importantly feel how it plays.

Really anxious to get these identicle twins through UK Customs and in my hand !

Im sure you noticed; visuals are similiar. Infact specs on the two are EXACTLY the same apart from the different neck shapes.

One being a 'Rincoln flow-neck' with approx 5 o'clock toe hang. The other being a plumbers neck with approx 4 o'clock toe-hang.

The idea being i have different options with different putters depending on how my stroke is / how well im releasing the head,and hence how much toe-flow feels better at that time.

Thats the theory anyway.........
