What is the best rain suit at a reasonable price and where can I get one by this Friday?

I normally don't play in the rain, but we are going on a golf trip this weekend and they are calling for rain. So I probably won't be using it much but it would be nice to get a nice one at a reasonable cost.

Try this one. I bought it for Pebble Beach last year and it is inexpensive and great quality. Plus it comes packaged in a 12 x 8 x 2 pouch.

Try either Dick's Sporting Goods or Golf Galaxy, both places usually have a good selection of rain suits in stock. It is a good buy if you live in a colder climate as well, the pants work great for winter golf and really keep the wind and cold out.

All I can tell you is not to use just price as a deciding factor. The first time you spend time out in the rain in a cheap rainsuit you'll wish you'd opted to spend a bit more for a quality one. And particularlly when your on an outing somewhere or at a Tournament where you have no option but to go out and play.

Look at models from Zero Restriction (the best IMO but costly and harder to find particularlly in Alpena),Footjoy/Dryjoy,Sunderland and Sun Mountian come to mind.

Terry, I have a Sunderland Dolphin which is excellent value and I can't praise it enough. Certainly does the job and is particular quiet when swinging. That would be my reccomendation.

The SunMountain Provisional rainsuit is a good deal. Multiple colour options, packs up tidy and best of all.....KEPPS YOU DRY....and we have some in my golf shop for $100 Canadian. Think I might pick one up.

Gore Tex is a must have in any rain suit. I've spent many a cold and wet day happy and dry because of Gore Tex. I've trusted my life to it in the past and it has NEVER let me down.

 

It's more expensive, but NOTHING is as effective or durable. Also, when you buy a Gore Tex garment, not only is warranted by the company who made it (ZR in this case), but should ZR ever go under, WL Gore will stand behind their product 100% as well.

 

Dry Joy's are warantted for 2 years, ZR and Gore Tex is warranted for LIFE. That's all I need to know.

I just got a short sleeve rainshirt from footjoy about a month ago. I don't like long sleeves, and didn't feel like I needed an entire suit. ~130. I've played in the rain three times so far, and am very happy with it.

I have always favored Footjoy/ Dryjoy stuff Terry, although i bought Sun Mountain gear to give away to my clients the last few years and they make some great stuff. SM pants are some of my favorites.
