So i went to Golf galaxy yesterday to try out the Scotty Cameron putters for the feel and everything, and i loved them i was so close to walk out with one but the studio putter was the same about as the california style 299. so i wanted to look around to see if i can find a different price. anyone know a better place to buy them? and i think i would want to get fitted for it too? what should i do?

The past 2 years, I've seen relatively recent cameron lines for around $230 at the local golf show. I'm not sure which 'booth' it was but this year they had fastback/squarebacks and some models from the new california line. So if you have an annual golf show in your area, I'd check there.

The other option is probably ebay...titleist reps can get then at a discount so they usually sell for less than the $300 retail. As for retail stores, I would guess that most will have them at the $300.

Retailers technically cant sell camerons for less then 300. its titleist guidelines kind of like ping pricing. if you get it for cheaper than that someone is breaking the rules. which puts a damper on green grass accounts

+1. if anyone watches the prices of their products, worse than Ping, its Titleist, and especially the Camerons. They have a MAP on them that retailers cannot stray away from, they could get their accounts pulled if they get caught. For piece of mind, I would just go the the retailer and get it. They might not have the deal that you want, but you know that its 100% real, and ebay and scotty's dont mix very well.

+2 on that. titleist has very strict MAP pricing on all products in retail shops. if you have a friend in the shop have them use their discount to get you a better price or check with your local rep to try to get it at a PUD price which is usually around %150 for a scotty
