I think Tiger will make the cut, but he won't be on my fantasy team because I don't trust him with a rusty driver. He's gonna spray that thing all over the place!

I have two things to add.

1) I [u]can't[/u] [u]believe[/u] anyone on the committee would even give any thoughts to giving him a "comfortable" pairing. Do they do that for anyone else?

2) Good idea to play the par three. It is just a shame it took what it did.

I think acting or saying things about his nerves, or having fun, is very different when faced with pressure in competition. He will certainly feel a great deal of pressure to do well starting Thursday! It would really surprise me if he does particularly well. His stats are not good for opening rounds.

One report had him trying to skip balls across the water, I assume on 15!

Even with the lay off and all issues in his personal life, Tiger is a machine between the ropes during game time. No other golfer, let alone no other athlete, is more focused during competition. He would not come back to Augusta if he did not think he could win. His game is ready or he would not be playing. He is not there for just an appearence, he wants the "W".

In the last 10 Masters since 2000 Tiger's average finish is 5th, and in the last 5 years his average finish is 2nd. He knows the course, he has the short game, he has the distance, and he has the putting game for this course. I am very confident that he is a top five, but I think he will win. He has something to prove to himself and the other golfers, that he is the world's #1 for a reason! I would not be surprised if he wins big and everyone else plays for second place on Sunday. Keep in mind that he has never broke 70 in an opening round at the Masters, so don't everyone jump on the bandwagon that he is going to miss the cut if he shoots 71 or 72. Friday and Saturday is where he seperates himself from the field, and then just plays on cruise control on Sunday with a ho hum mistake free round.

Of any previous year this is the best year for Tiger to capture more majors with the courses on the rotation. Hold the scoring records at the Masters, US Open, and British Open, and all three courses he set these records on are in the rotation this year. He has a legitmate shot at the grand slam this year above any previous year because of this. He knows this and that is why he made sure he would be ready for Augusta!

It's great to see him back playing, but seriously, does everyone need to comment on Tiger? I mean is this the Master's or Tiger's Wonderful World of Golf at Augusta National? I mean getting the insight of Rory Mcilroy, I mean he's awesome, but what is he going to have to say about him? They are really getting out of control, asking the groups in front of his, if they can handle it? He is one man, they are playing the course, not him. End of story. That's always been the case, it's golf. Sorry to rant, but it's getting annoying to hear on TGC and ESPN the same questions over and over. I just can't wait for this crap to be over and Tiger to be Tiger again and golf to be golf again.

It was great to see him back this week and Tiger looks genuinely happy to be at Augusta. If he breaks 70 tomorrow. Angel could be putting the green jacket on Tiger come Sunday.

Its funny when you don't have any expectations because normally that when good things happen. A great example is AK from last week. He did not have any business winning the Shell only hitting 43% of the fairways.

tomorrow cant get here fast enough... too bad I have to work tomorrow, but then its vacation time, and what a way to spend a vacation, Watching the Master's (and Tiger winning) and getting out and playing 5-6 rounds in 6 days.. what a great vacation this is going to be.!!!! Love the Master's. Ususally the only tourament that I will absolutly try not to miss any coverage. (ill be watching at work)!

I think he does look happy like mentioned earlier. Did anyone catch him dancing on the range? He was snapping his fingers and bobbing his head, saw it on the Golf Central. Just ready for him to start playing. Does anyone know how come GC was reporting that he was playing in the par 3 contest, when he didn't?

Watching the few full swings on TGC and TSN, Tiger is looking awfully good for having such a long layoff. his driver swing is phenomenal. Wouldn't be surprised to see him top 10 in distance, and probably upper mid pack in accuracy!

no - in the uk we can only see amen corner until 9pm - but they let us see live coverage of tigers tee shot on the first, man he swung it good too

masters.com already has the highlights from his first hole. It shows his tee shot, approach, and first putt. Good stuff!

He ignored the plane with the banner that said, “Tiger: Did you mean bootyism?” and split the first fairway. I would say his nerves are pretty steady.

Is it just me or does Tiger's swing look a little rough. It seems something is wrong, maybe his knee or his Achilles tendon. Not sure, something doesn't look right though on his down swing.

^^^ Don't remember the last time I saw him hit three fairways in a row... Hard to say there's anything wrong there, so far, IMO.
