I like 'em too... was into the high cor face design with the burners and got tired of the fliers from the fairway...I'm thinking that there are no real new ideas and everyone is recycling around new designs.. drivers got to 460 and then??? irons now have faces like drivers with high cor... we'll see...

If these were coming out sooner, I'd get them. But I'm tired of playing with a Ping i10 7 iron for my iron set....lol. Cant wait to get the ap1s....but I've always been a fan of the x-series from callaway, their irons perform great

I will reserve final judgement until I see and hit them but as a Callaway player, I am disappointed. I like the black finish but that cavity badge looks hideous. Who is designing these and do they EVER consult the public?

Clunky looking, I don't like the look of the Diablo's either, from the back they look unbalanced. Several of the new GP irons look very clumsy to me: G15, Diablo, and now X24s.

I like a sleeker look.

I think they look okay, but I do think that they are at least a little bit Ping-like. That's not a bad thing--just an observation. I'm just not sure about this Hot thing going on. In that respect, it reminds me of the Burner irons.

I am not a Callaway fan but for someone who is playing for looks I can see them very much wanting this. The first thing that I thought of when I saw them was the burner Irons, very similar design, and I am guessing that is what Callaway was looking for. Cool looking design but not for me.

Wait until you see them in person, then say they look hideous. If you don't like them after you have seen them in your hands, that's cool it's your prerogative. I have seen these in person, the Callaway rep brought a set by for us to check out. They don't look bad in person, with the dark finish and the bright pop of the orange in the back, they do look okay. Do I like the fact that they put the word "hot" on the back...no, does the picture in forum do the design justice, absolutely not. That picture makes them look hideous, and IMHO, [i]they don't look terrible[/i]. I could game them, but I am an a$hat golfer for which these irons are aimed for. Just my 2 cents.



I would have taken a picture of them in hand, but the rep put the kibosh on that with a quickness.

I love the dark finish, but the "X" badge is ugly, kinda cheap looking. Maybe it's the orange color. I already have a problem with the orange on my G10's.

I heard that the cost for these is $65.00 per iron with steel shaft and $79.00 per iron with graphite shaft. Can this be confirmed by anyone because these prices make them cheaper than the current X-22s.

X22's aren't due for update until January. This should tell you a little about the pressure Callaway is under. They are floundering, and the Diablo Edge line is flop. These better be a hit, or else it's real trouble for Cally.

I really liked the x22 tours, not too big, not too small, just right in my eyes/hands!

Anyone know of a new replacement as far as that line goes(Semi-Players Cavity)?

It would be nice. But the X-Protos, X-Forged and the DFs are specialty iron sets and are not Cally's high volume iron sets in terms of sales.
