He was awesome at the Shell Houston earlier in the year. Amazing, but he actually looked at you when you spoke. It truly was great to see a kid that appears to have it all together. Whether it is his management, family or whatever-he was very impressive from a personal standpoint and has a golf game to match! Good luck Rickie-

Golf attracts fan who pay to watch and buy merchandise, that money brings in Sponsers. If 10 tourney wins are won by people who wear nike clothes, possible 1 million people around the world will go buy some Nike stuff so they feel the biz when they play. 1,000,000 * £40 = ?

Obviously, it's HOW MUCH sponsors, especially the "title" sponsor(s) puts up. Spectator spending and gate receipts typically go towards event expenses but are targeted towards what ever charities are involved.

I've been at quite a few of the tournaments that RF has played this year and have yet to see a "handler" with him. I see Tiger's agent at just about ever event that Tiger is at. I think the way Rickie interacts with the patrons is a factor of his upbringing and his family support system.

Regardless of sports place or venue, I find it exciting and real interesting a professional player stops to do something for the gallery, mainly for the young kids. It gives you a conversation topic in addition to a nice souvenir you can hand at your office or your kid can hang it at his/her room, why not?
In a way I think people want to feel a professional player is as human as an expectator regardless of their professional abilities.

I have interacted with Ian Pulter, Rory Sabbatini and others and my experience has been exceptional, those guys stopped to sign caps, papers, flags, souveniers, etc.

kudos to Rickie, he is a great player!

A good friend of mine has a Son that played D-1 golf at a top ranked school and
played a lot with Ricky the last few years. My friend often followed his Son
and got to see Ricky a lot. His take on Ricky was that he was the real deal,
friendly, confident, just a great guy, and a surefire winner on the PGA Tour.

I am a Rickie Fowler fan, love his swing and his swagger, but that matchup would be no contest. Fowler isn't in the same league as McIlroy.

Rickie Fowler has a lot in his bags to be a leading professional golfer . I admire his swings and of course his style , particularly his Puma hat .

I am die hard fan of Rickie Fowler. The way he hits the buddies and swings , I really admire his shots . Apart from his play , his style is unique one which stands apart .

Fowler would be a great captain's pick. He'd be a Ryder Cup rookie, but he's young and fresh out of college so he's still used to the team golf atmosphere. Plus he seems to have a great fiery, competitive attitude. For some odd reason I think he'd be great paired up with Furyk.
