FT Tour VS FT IZ

Launch and spin comparison?

Hitting a FT Tour 9.5 with 73X Whiteboard. Maybe hit it a franction higher then Id like, want to try a FTIZ, should I get a 8.5 or 9.5 degree? How do they compare for launch and spin?

I have hit both! i would go with the same loft! The Ft iZ is HOTTT!!! get the imix and put your WB in it, and you can thank me later bro!! Give it a shot you wont be disappointed!

I feel the Iz launches lower, and has very similar spin characteristics, like i said HOT all over the face. iam nothing but pleased!

So the IZ actually launches lowerr? I thought it would be the other way around. Hmmm, maybe I should stick to 9.5 then.

Best thing you can do is hit them on a launch monitor, side by side. Everyone has different swings which could lead to different results.

Surely Callaway would not make the FT-IZ launch lower than the FT-Tour head. FT-Tour is for high spin/high ball speed players and the FT-IZ is geared more toward the once a week type of player. Those in between would be best served with a FT-IZ Tour I-Mix =D.

In my experience, the FT Tour and FT-iZ Tour do launch very similarily. I was on a Vector Pro launch monitor and the two clubs were within a couple degrees of each other on every swing (good or bad). They were very close spin-wise too.

Im talking IZ Tour and FT Tour. Sorry for the confusion.

I got a FTIZ Tour 9.5 coming. Will report back when I get chance to mash a few.

My swing speed is between 100-105 and I hit the FT-IZ better then the FT-Tour.I ordered the FT-Tour,but traded before leaving store. I have the FT-IZ 8.5 Tour and love it. I have better ball speed on the FT-IZ also. I don't have problem hitting center of face, but FT-IZ is very forgiving.I think if you have more MPH swing the FT-TOUR comes alive.But the FT-Tour doesn't hit as straight or long for me as the FT-IZ.

I hit them both at 10.5 degrees with a Voodoo SVS6. The FT-IZ Tour is 46 inches long. They had very similar launch angles. Both were easy to hit. The FT-IZ appears to be mid spin at most. A lot of guys with high swing speeds with the right shaft will kill this driver.
