hit the speedline today for first time and i got to say WOW it felt so amazing adam did great on the driver so amazed by it adam does deserve more credit than they have some good golf items out there

I picked up an adjustable 9064LS on Monday. I have 2 range sessions and one round with it so far.

My thoughts vary from very impressed with the club except the sound and very unimpressed with Adams corporate. I will explain both.....

I was using a glued 9064 9.5 RIP Red stiff and loved the club, but my miss has been a block or slice. I am a 6 index right now with a 101mph swing speed.

Club impressions:
Although not as adjustable as far as loft and lie as some other clubs, it has just enough. Once you find your setting you are probably going to leave it anyway.
The adjustments are as follows: +1 deg open/ neutral/ -1 deg closed, standard lie or upright lie (no mention anywhere of what the standard lie is or how many degrees upright the U setting is. More research reveled it to be 1 deg, but this is unconfirmed). The standard and upright lie are adjusted by rotating the head 180 deg on the shaft.
Any adjustment in lie or of the 3 face angles does promote a notable change in ball flight.
My favorite setting so far is Upright and neutral face angle.....

The adjustable shaft length is genius and simple. You have 3 choices from 45, 45.5, and 46 inches. It is very easy with use of the spacers and weights. It is great for me because I struggle with today's longer shafts and trimming and then weighting was a hassle to find the proper length and swing weight for me. Now with the spacers it was very fast and showed immediate results. I noted a little increase in distance at 46 inches, but much better accuracy and control at 45 inches. The distance difference was not worth the loss of accuracy. At 45 inches my miss is much better and looks like a bigger fade then normal vs a slice. I think the shorter shaft helped this more then the face angle, As I settled at a neutral vs closed face angle.

THE SOUND!!!!! This club has to be one of the strangest sounding that I have ever heard or hit. The glued version is just perfect for me with a muted click. The adjustable version sounds like a aluminum bat. It is a loud ting with no thump or click. I quickly got over it though when I saw the results. I think I will try some fiber fill to mute it. It will be simple because of the huge opening of the square hosel and the accessibility of the weight port. Both are very large.

The grip has 2 Adams logo's on it. I noted the glued version had the logo down and at first I thought 2 logo's was strange. Then I noted that it is for the adjustments. As the hosel is square all of the adjustments are at right angles. Having 2 logos assures one of them is always visible. No logo's would of been better as it would have been a non issue. Once I an set on adjustments I will re-grip and this will no longer be an issue.

The hosel adapter is bulky but quickly disappeared at address. Some may get over it, some may not.

Overall it looks just as good as the glued version to me.


Corporate stuff:
I had no intention of buying this club and just happened to be in the shop when they put it on the shelf. It was the only one they had and it was $379. That is the same price the glued version originally was. It appears now they have lowered the glued version to $299, so the DFS is not exactly the same price.

The tool kit was no where near any of the packing material from the club, the shop found it in another box.

It had no directions, although it was pretty self explanatory. A Adams rep had to email them to the shop and it took nearly 2 hours.

My shop called Adams and they did not even know the clubs had been delivered or released.

The rep was shocked my shop had one. (The shop is probably the biggest golf retailer in California, it is not like it was a small one off shop)

Adams has zero info on their web site that the club even exist.

The shop had to call both their corporate office and Adams to even confirm it was for sale yet.

Adams just seemed to be a touch behind the curve ball with this club.
