You are confusing me. You say the marker was infront of the ball. He picks up his ball and cleans it at which point he places the ball back behind the marker. To me that sounds like he picked the ball up and put it down in the same place, behind the marker.

What a stupid venue this has turned out to be! If the place is so suseptible to fog why play a Major there?? Im sick of all the delays, I hope the PGA or any Major never returns!

We've had crazy hot weather here (Kohler is a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Chicago) so while fog can OCCASIONALLY roll in at rather bizarre times, by no means is this the norm
BTW- they will be hosting a Ryder Cup as well as another PGA over the next decade...

Sorry--let me try that again...

The camera cuts to Kuchar, who is bending down to pick up his ball. Instead of the marker sitting behind the ball, as per the usual way, it's sitting in front of the ball--between the ball and the hole. Kuch picks up his ball, cleans it off, and puts the ball back in front of the marker--not behind it as it had been earlier.

I just don't get it. He just can't get a good swing on a ball unless it is off a cart path. That first swing on the first tee was nice, smooth, easy. Then...not so good.

I'm not a fan of TW but was amazed at his scrambling in the first few holes of his second round. I'd like to see Kuchar or Watson win. I can only guess at how difficult the course would be playing had their been no rain.

Tiger, nice putt to get 3undah. On that one, it looked like he was just like, "this is going in", no mechanics and all that.

It will be interesting IF he gets down deeper in red numbers to see how the field reacts.

I have see a lot of "they are just not afraid of TW any more", "he has lost the intimidation factor"

I think if he gets down low, they all start trembling.

TW's finish on 18.. a cut 5 wood from a bunker roughly 200 yards out that lands on the green.. amazing.. and followed by a 90 footer that came up inches short and the line was right. Good to see the emotion he had going as that putt nearly dropped.

YE Yang hitting driver off the deck though on 18... I thought he was roughly 230 out but maybe I heard it wrong.. why driver over a 3 wood? I still dont understand that play.

I've really enjoyed the online coverage. And.. despite being home now (after complete reliance on the online portion thursday and friday) and having the TNT coverage going.. I went ahead and finished up watching the marquee group. I've enjoyed Breed's commentary (but I was already a fan of him from the Golf Fix).

Course looks beautiful today and my goodness that clear water at the shores edge.

Wow Camillo nearly fell down just now on 18. Everyone is hitting a wood of some form in. What a mean par4!


edit: online coverage is replaying the marquee group of Woods, Singh, and Yang from todays 2nd round finish. Just fyi for anyone wanting to check out what they missed this morning.

sean foley or not, there is no magic wand out there for the golf swing....they will most likely do their main work after this tournament...right now he is lucky to make the cut. after last week

PGA.com reported that Foley was on the range with him at 5 AM as well. So that's twice in one day and three times in the last 3 days. I'm calling shenanigans on Foley and Steinberg claiming it's not official. If it wasn't official, you would see Foley dedicating his time to his other students right now. And yes, Woods' swing is more in shambles than Foley's other big name students, but still. It's a frickin' major and they're doing this stuff on TV.

BTW, isn't Kuchar a little young for grey hairs? Yikes. And Tiger has missed three very makable birdie putts in a row, he should be -6.
