Bridgstone CB's, Opinions Needed

Hey Guys,

 

Just got my Bridgestone CB's back from having them rawed. Was wanting to maybe speed up the rusting process or if anyone else has any suggestions please let me know. If you have a suggestions please let me know how to perform the process. Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing some options!

To speed up the process grab a old towel/rag and wet it completely. Then wrap the iron heads in the wet towel (place in a bucket or something to hold them) and put them outside for a few days. You will see rust in no time.

... I have played raw wedges for over 20 years and found that letting them discolor on their own produces the best results. You get a deeper color that is pretty constant and does not come off with normal cleaning. Speeding up the process with salt water, towels, etc gives a superficial rust that is uneven and comes off very quickly. Just play em and let nature take care of the process for you.

I thought I saw on here a few weeks back that there is some application that can be applied to the heads to give them that dark or antique look. Anyone know what that is?

couldnt agree more. i game a set of cally xforged that are raw. i find that when they build up rust fast (overnight moisture or something) this rust falls off very easily. but, the patina thats formed over the past 6 months is beautiful. its not so much rust as a natural darkening. its more in the metal a layer on top, so its surprisingly durable.

if you want them rusty, just dip them in salt water and leave them out overnight. rather, id say just give em a good cleaning after you play, and let nature run its course.

Perma-Blue paste applied with a tooth brush works well. Depending on how much use the clubs will get will determine how long it will last. I used it on some raw wedges that my wife plays and haven't had to touch them up since last year.
