took second place!

I went this Saturday for yet another local qualifier (3rd one) for the ReMax world ld championships, and I took second place to qualify for districts. I snapped 2 Penley shafts while practicing, one last Saturday at a different qualifier, and one Friday night before qualifying, so therefore I had no doubt to which driver I was using, the AccuFLEX is really holding up for me, but now I'm down 2 drivers until I can get some more Ultrabooms in them, but that's not my only problem I have right now, I need HELP and recommendations for a swing problem that i have as I need to be more consistant(videos will be downloaded shortly) so here's a brief description of my nagging nemisis, ball flight too high, a big fade 10-25yds(not a slice or push slice) or at times its a pull(goes the farthest and just misses the grid) the fade still carries 325-345, but I know from experience, that won't take me very far. I know without seeing swing it's hard to give analysis but any info to start with will be appreciated. I have 3 weeks to work the bugs out and will spend plenty of time at the range when healed(slightly hurt back and shoulders). Thanks for any help offered with my debacle.

So if I have this correct:

1)Ballflight too high

2)Big fade that is sometimes a pull

 

The cause for these problems will usually be an over-the-top, outside-in swing. I'm not saying your swing looks like the weekend hacker you think of when you say outside-in, im just saying your SLIGHTLY coming OTT and OI. When youre pulling it you happen to be squaring the clubface up.

 

Look for some drills from the Golf Drill Guru to help.

You have to remember with your swing speed being so quick that any faults are exadgerated. As mentioned above, a slight over-the-top move or out-to-in path will result in a fade (which, one again, will become exadgerated the higher the swing speed).

I'm getting the videos of my swing today from a friend of mine that went with me on Saturday and he said he saw something that may be the curse of my swing, very noticeable when put in freeze frame, I'll put the videos on the sight, hopefully tonight, for some further evaluations from the best people on the best golf sight on earth!

Okay Brody I am just going to say this once to help you out........

 

 

 

If you really want to get serious about this Long Drive stuff I can help you with your swing but first you have to come back from fantasy land and realize where you truely are at now in your endevors.

 

 

 

I know what you qualified with at the local qualifier and I know just how far you are able to hit it but with your technique you will never be anywhere close to what the big boys do.

 

 

 

I know how far I hit the ball even with just stock length shafts and a smooth swing and your not even close. You could swing out of your shoes all day and still not hit it farther and worse is you could never hit the grid.

 

 

 

You have a big over the top swing like the other golfwxr's have thought and until you get rid of that you will continue to hit it right of right and loose club head speed as well.

 

 

 

So if you really want to make these guys and gals here on golfwrx believe in you and what you say just call me and I will give you some drills and swing thoughts to work on so you can come close to what you think you can hit it...........

 

 

 

If not then I feel sorry for you and you can go on living in your fantasy world and try to lie to these great people on golfwrx..........

yeah utopia, your right, without the proper tecnique I sure do lose alot of distance, and yes I do have an over the top swing, most of the time, but the one thing that I have to disagree with you is, you still don't know how far I can really hit as we never played together, and you can't tell by hitting into a screen. and as for my distance that i qualified with, 328yds, you dont know the conditions that I was hitting in, 15-20mph right to left headwind, at the time that I hit, rehabbing a knee injury for 6months now, because you were not there, nor were you there when everyone said that you were going to be at chaple ridge to blow me out of the water, so to say I live in a fanatasy world, maybe you think so but Ive had quite many people tell me otherwise, until you can say all this you should really see for yourself, thanks for your offer for tips and swing thoughts, but I am already working with 2 people who have faith in me, and are working with the swing I already have only to make it more efficient, my technique will never be perfect and i am fine with that, as I dont have all the time in the world for practice. thanks agian for your advise but i think i'll pass on yours. As long as I have people who have confidence in me, that's all that matters to me. If you want to really see if you can hit it, the last qualifier is this friday the 11th at bryant park, distrticts on sat, I'll be there, will you?
