The Haney Project -- Rush Limbaugh

RL seemed pretty likable. Way more personality than Romano, which is a surprise. I just can't seem to like Haney. And like others have said, why is his wife a major part of the show now? If you are gonna add T and A, add Lauren Thompson. Its awkward to me when she goes on Destination Golf and goes to courses with other people and just sits there while they golf!

False. I listened to him every day in the afternoon for two summers doing a caretaking job. As far as his humor goes, yes, I enjoyed it, sometimes. I get the schtick. But I still "hate" him; I think he's quite the d-bag.

Actually I don't think I would be all that keen to watch Keith either. That said, at least Keith has something of a sports background. Rush has none. He is just a very, very big flubbery bag of overheated stinky air in my opinion. I am disappointed in TGC for showing this mess.

I liked it so far but Haney's wife shouldn't be in this at all. It has nothing to do Rush getting better at golf. If I wanted hot babes scantily dressed I'd surf the internet. It lowersa the value of the show and just wastes time. They can't be so short of footage that they need her for filler....

The new season of the Haney Project started last night with Rush Limbaugh. I watched the past two seasons with Charles Barkley and Ray Ramano and although I find the show somewhat entertaining I dont think he has succeeded in either of his past two shows. Charles Barkely pretty much just had to accept that he is always going to be a terrible golfer at the end of the first season because he could not improve, he could not loose that hitch and his mental block was just as bad at the end of the season as it was at the beginning. Ray Ramano...he didnt break 80 and probably wont. He may have been able to shave a few strokes off his game but the goal was to break 80, Hank said it would happen and it didnt.

I am not doubting Hanks teaching ability and effectiveness working with tour caliber players but it seems to me he cant teach a regular weekend warrior golfer. Also on a side note, his wife is proof that if you are on TV and have money you get hot chicks.

I liked all the Haney shows so far.... but I am liking the way this one with Rush is starting out even better....

Rush seems to be adding more of what golfers I see or know act like.... he admits he just wants to bomb it off the tee..... knows he has faults and is somewhat willing to listen....

I like the new addition of Hanks wife in the show...her positive enfluence to her husband is nice.......and her also now being one of his 2 students he has... I had to laugh when Hank said he now has 2 students and thats it

I got a kick out of when Rush said he is too smart for golf... that all the good golfers were shallow between the ears......

i think if he wants to save face he needs to take a descent celebrity like a tony romo or a brett hull and see if he can get them good enough to compete in a mini tour event or a nationwide event or something. maybe work with them in preparation for the us amateur or something. anyone who knows anything about a good golf game can take a terrible golfer and maybe make them a couple strokes better.

kind of a no win really for Hank..... if he takes a Romo or Hull who already have great game..... those guys probably really wouldn't change their game or swings, they are probably happy with where they are and the game they have..... and with the other hacks he has had ..... the limited time really isn't going to do much for anybody.....

Its all for TV and thats what makes it fun.... the personalitys...... while Barkley is unfixable....he was good TV..... Romano, had his moments of being funny, but they had to take a break in the middle of the show... that should tell us how much he was really putting into golf....

Rush is so far acting like a amateur golf addict.... just wants to hit the ball long...... thinks its equipment..... and wants to listen..... but old habits die hard.....

If anything, it would make the show marginally more interesting.

I am not really a Rush fan, but I like that he is being frank with Haney about his swing and tendencies on the course. I think it will be an interesting season. I liked the Barkley season, but just really got tired of Ray-Mano.

I look forward to watching how Haney fixes the "alignment" issues that Haney noticed on the Range. It will also be interesting to see if Rush practices since he confessed to never practicing.

I agree. Unlike his radio show, where he pretends to be smart (unbearable to listen to for five minutes), he is quite likeable when he fully admits he knows nothing on a subject.

Might be a flop to you but Tuesday night's Haney Project was the 2nd most watched show the Golf Channel has ever broadcast. Haney's show is making money for the GC. The Golf Channel's all time highest rated show was the first episode of the Haney Project with Charles Barkley.

I guess the context was missing. I meant the value of the show being about Haney trying to improve a celebrities golf game. That is the basic premise of the entire series and she doesn't add anything but eye candy to the mix.
