Who has them, who loves them and why ?

looking for feedback on overall forgiveness...what irons did you have before the MP-53's, and what shafts did you go with ? thanks

Kinda sorta can reply to your questions, i have a combo set with mp 53 4&5 iron, then mp 63 6-pw.

My previous clubs were KZG Zo Blades, which i loved.

I went with DG s300 shafts.

Love the 53's, very buttery but forgiving at the same time. Played last sunday and hit my 5 iron 3 times, 4 iron once. with those shots i made two birdies and two pars.

Forgiving but also still workable, i had to play a 30 yard cut 200 yards uphill with my 4 iron and hit the perfect shot.

Very smooth iron, and less intimidating at address than the 63's. Both have a great feel to them.

I went from MP-60s to the 53. Love them so far - I can hardly tell the difference b/w the 53 and 60 at address. However, the one handed follow thru shots that came up short and in the bunker with the 60s now comes up on the front of the green. I can still work the ball if need be as well.

I went with PX 6.5 soft stepped. Was playing DG S300 in the 60s. Gaines about a club in distance with the new combo.

Just got my 53's this week. Have the DG S300 shafts (felt better than KBS and had better dispersion).

Last irons were Titleist DCI 990's.

Same shafts in both.

53's had more distance and were a little tiighter. At least on the monitor.

Will hit them outside and report back when the snow melts.

Thinking these mp-53s are at the top of the list to replace my long standing Tour Stage x-blades. Just need to get on a trackman for a fitting session to decide.

At least on the monitor, there were about 1/2 club length longer than my normal irons.

I just got a set for this season. These will replace a set of TM r7 TP irons. The 53's have KBS Tour shafts in them. I love the ball flight and the feel when you nut one. Plus they are sweet to look at.

I had Burner 09 before the Mp 53's they were shovels compared to the Mizzy's. Less distance but thats just because the Burners were lofted higher and the shafts were too long. So the burner 6 really was a 5 Iron .Best switch I ever made hands down.Buttery smooth and great a address .Very workable and still forgiving.I went with the DG s300 I like them over the KBS .
