Best places to play

I will be traveling to the Seaside Fl. area in late July and curious what are the best courses to play around there. Also, please let me know when giving your feedback what the rates are for the courses you recommend. If there are any fellow WRXer's that live close to Seaside and would like to play some golf between July 24 and July 20 please let me know.

Moved from that area 2 years ago. The courses to the west in sandestin are awesome. The Raven and Burnt Pine are the names I can remember. There are a few more as well in that area. Good luck and enjoy!

Here's a few to look up on Google in no particular order. Not sure how far you're willing to drive.

The Hombre in Panama City
Windswept Dunes in Freeport
Camp Creek in Panama City
Raven at Sandestin (Burnt Pine is for members and resort guests only)
Regatta Bay in Destin
Kelly Plantation in Destin

Pretty sure all those have websites with rate informationand will show up on Google Maps. I live about an hour from Seaside, but might be able to join you for a round. Enjoy your trip; the beaches here are second to none and the golf isn't bad either!

Good Morning! I bet you are excited about your trip to the area! I'm with all the people above...play at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort (Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club, The Links Course and Burnt Pine). I played recently and they are in great shape. The rates are reasonable and they are all championship courses. Names like Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Rees Jones and Tom Jackson speak for themselves. The Raven is a must play and then maybe Baytowne if you're around for awhile. The senior tour used to play on The Raven in 2006/2007...it was voted one of their favorite courses. After you play, you should head to the Village...it's a pedestrian village that has restaurants, shops, places to get drinks on the water, a marina, entertainment for the family, ziplines, etc...It's a well worth it trip and really only about 20 minutes from Seaside headed West. Of all the fine courses in the Destin area the one I'm most familiar with is Kelly Plantation and heartily recommend it however the Raven and Regatta Bay are excellent.

Seascape and Indian Bayou are worth playing as well in my opinion (and easy on your wallet) but not quite in the same class as those already listed. You'd also have to drive in to Destin to get to Indian Bayou which might not be an option for you.

Please help ASAP!!!

I called to set up tee times and Regatta Bay informed me about a special they have that if you play and pay regular price you can play again the same week for 1/2 the normal rate. I really want to play Raven but need to know if it is worth playing and paying the regular rates at both courses or if it is better to play Regatta Bay twice. Please let me know ASAP as I am heading down this weekend and want to get early tee times before they book up.

I live in the area and would say the Raven is a must play. Haven't played Regatta though, but have been on the facilities and it seems nice.
