Ive just played the AD333 again and this ball is probally just as good as any in catagory. A lot of people says it will ballon with high swing speeds well I dont think thats true at all, I have a 105 ss and had no problem at all with it and im also a pretty high spin player. The ball is as long as any ive played other than the E7 but thats all that ball seems to be for me is long off tee everything else the Ad333 out performed. I mean for a 2 peice surlyn covered ball it will stop on a dime on aproach shots and will check up on chips! This is really a real good ball for the price. what is your findings with it if you have played or is playing it?

The only Srixon ball I like better than the AD333 is the Z Star....but for the price difference...i'll play the AD333 any day of the week ! Great ball...agree for a surlyn it spins and stops well even on hard dry fast greens. Soft, Long off the tee, spins well, great ball.

The AD333 and the Original Gamer are two of the best balls made in the past 5 years. (nclude some urethanes). The AD333 even has higher spin rates than most urethanes.

I agree the original gamer was a much better ball than the V2. The V2 and the AD333 in comparison are basicly identical to me with the feel off irons and greenside spin going to the AD333. Out of those 2 balls I would definently play the AD333 over the gamer V2!!

I found one today on the course and played it for a few holes. It was terrific. The most surprising to me was how nice it felt off the putter.

This is one of the craziest statements I have seen on this forum. If you like this ball and it works for your game that is great, but the AD333 will not spin more than any urethane ball let alone most.

The AD333 was a great ball when it came out because it was the highest spin you could find from a 2-piece surlyn ball. In the past few years there have been several other 2-pieces that perform similarly which has ultimately made the AD333 just a typical soft 2-piece. The Nike PD Soft, Callaway BB Diablo, TM Tour Burner, and even the Noodle Easy Distance are all 2-piece surlyn balls with softer covers than the AD333.

You and I haven't disagreed in a while... until now.
Its a simple debate to solve. Go view the USGA Ball Test data (that you often refference). Note the Driver and Short Iron Spins catagories for the AD333 vs many of the harder urethanes. AD333 tested higer on Drivers, and higher than many off the Wedge. Arguement solved. .
Individual swing speeds also come into play in discussion.

According the the USGA, all of Callaway, TM, Bridgestone, and Nike's urethane covered balls have lower short iron spin than the the AD333. It is interesting that every other independent spin test and OEM say the exact opposite. The AD333 has also shown to have a harder cover than all urethane balls other than afew Callaway models in every cover hardness test I have ever seen.

So, harder cover material, higher overall cover hardness, and lack of a mantle layer yet you think the AD333 still spins more than these balls of a wedge? I am interested to hear your explaination as to how Srixon has been able to defy physics with this ball. I don't think you will find anyone here that will claim the AD333 spins more than the Callaway i(s) (which is what the USGA claims).

I like the AD333, but actually prefer the 'Soft Feel', but i'm a bit slower at 95 ss so i guess i compress it better. Having said that, my buddy swings 115 and raves about the Soft Feel even though i've told him needs a higher compression ball to maximise at that SS.

I agree. I prefer all those you've listed except to include the Srixon Soft Feel and reg TM Burner and even the Pinnacle FX Soft. The AD333 was just ok for me.

The AD 333 is back in play. Lost my last Pinnacle Dimension on the start of a bad nine (bogey golf- with heroic saves and long putts), came home the last 5 holes 1 under with the AD 333 back in play- so a good start.

As has been said similar to many balls in this price range. My hi-tech ball selection theory remains to buy whatever is on sale in bulk when I am shopping for balls from a fairly wide range of mid range balls - Burner, Cally Diablo AD333, NXT, old Nike Juice and PD Soft etc

Very good ball, use it during winter and beginning and end of the season. Swing speed around 90-95 with a 3 wood but find it hard to play with in the summer and hard greens as it doesnt spin well for me from 100 yards in (note, for me). It will check but roll out 10 or so yards. Id quite happily play with it all the time but with tour style balls at £1 a piece (lakeballs) on the net then i play with those in the summer for the added greenside control.

All in all, if i had to buy new balls from a shop every week at full price, id play these or the srixon soft feel all year long.

Will i get any more greenside spin from the tri-speed (bearing in mind i dont spin the ad333 very well)? is it worth the extra £5/8 per box?

Yes the AD333 is a massively used ball here in the UK, you can get them for £13 a box of 12 in most places - about $20
